Screen Innovations and the Sony VPL-GTZ1, the world’s first ultra-short-throw 4K laser light source projector.
Sony 4K projection, Dolby Atmos surround sound, Paradigm CI Elite speakers, Onkyo AV receiver, Elite Screens acoustically transparent screen, Atlona 4K UHD video distribution, control by Savant.
The stunning star ceiling was handcrafted from 5 miles of fiber optic stands--creating 1,000 twinkling stars--each set into the plasterwork during construction. A mural of the cosmos, hand painted by TYM's creative director, creates a magical atmosphere.
Reclaimed wood adds to the 'mine shaft' theme, while painted walls by Aimee Logsdon of Wondrous Walls Within add to the rustic warmth of the space.

On Monday, November 10, 2014, the Jacksonville community gathered to welcome home Marine Sgt. Ben Tomlinson, recipient of a "Building for America's Bravest" smart home. The home will allow Sgt. Tomlinson to live independently for the first time since he was severely injured in action in Afghanistan. The effort to build a home for him was spearheaded by the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the Gary Sinise Foundation, with the help of many generous national and local donors. Jacksonville State University was a partner in the endeavor. Sgt. Tomlinson enters his home for the first time.

Face and emotion recognition by means of a 3D stereo camera automatically captures the mood of the visitors and visualises the results on a screen. The generated image can then be printed on the title page of a give away folder to take home.
