Fresno State plant science faculty emeritus Dr. Bruce Roberts, research collaborator Dr. Jim Yager, Fresno State students Sarai Briseno-Calderon and Gabriel Gebregiorgis and UC Santa Barbara doctoral student Nevena Golubovic in a Fresno State campus farm almond orchard. The site is part of a collaborative National Science Foundation Smart Farm research project that uses soil sensors to constantly upload data to the cloud for analysis.
