Well, that is too bad. You might have had yourself some fun in that little car.

Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday
Trabant is a series of small cars powered by two stroke engine, produced from 1957 until 1991 by former East German car manufacturer VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke Zwickau.
The German word Trabant, derived from Middle High German drabant, means 'satellite' or 'companion'. The car's name was inspired by the Soviet Sputnik satellite. The cars are often referred to as "Trabbi" or "Trabi". Produced without major changes for nearly 30 years, the Trabant became the most common automobile in East Germany.

The journey can be fun. Roll down the windows (only if the skies are clear) and let your hair blow in the wind. I miss the days of no A/C and you had those little triangle windows up front.
Happy Saturday
On Saturday I took Marnie to Plantsbrook Local Nature Reserve. There wasn't a human in sight. Just one man in the small car park tossing food for the squirrels. Heaven ! Marnie was so patient with me, leading the way. I'm still slow, but getting physically more capable all the time.
With woodlands, wetlands and wildflower meadows, Plantsbrook Local Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife and notable for its expanses of open water.
I hope you like this, my Flickr friends. Thank you so much for every view, fave and comment.
Have a lovely Christmas, no matter what your religious faith, or perhaps no faith at all. 😃
Iceland October 2014, East of Hofn. our Ford Explorer off the main road, I liked the scale of the shot, this is the back of Vesturhorn mountains just past the tunnel east of Hofn.
Don't worry, it's just a title. Sitting in the queue. that reminds me, need to get my small cars out for some shots....lol
I did have some herbs to shoot but got tied up doing things and then it was too dark. Maybe tomorrow or who knows. I have so many photos waiting in the queue anyway.
I hope this gives you a smile on Saturday anyways.
hey just a thought. Maybe this is Herb`s car.....lol
The famous view of the Colorado River from Dead Horse Point, west of Moab, Utah.
Sometimes it can be hard to get an idea of the scale of places. So just take a look at the car driving along the dirt road...
The motor of the small car is gently humming as you slowly round the curve of an unknown rural road filled with new sights and sounds. There are no hurried automobiles crowding upon your rear bumper trying to push you along faster, the frenzied work day crowd is no where to be seen. It is late winter, the beautiful old oak trees are silhouetted in charcoal black against the dark gray overcast sky, the perfect lighting for rural scenery where there are no harsh shadows but rather a soft pleasing aspect to every beautiful object you encounter. Your trusty SLR is lying there on the seat next to you ready to capture another pleasing image and to record these exceedingly pleasing memories. On the back seat a small dog is resting, snuggled up on it’s fleece bed waiting for the next opportunity to get out of the car and explore the rural terrain while it’s master searches about with camera in hand. Does this all sound like you? I certainly hope so. It doesn’t get any better than this.
That canoe weighs as much as a small car.
Getting caught up on my color film development, thanks to Blue Moon Photo in Portland, OR. Color development is annoying which is why I didn't do it myself this time.
Revisiting Main-A-Dieu after a long absence from this small fishing village on Cape Breton's east coast, we circled the harbour till we came to the end of Main-A-Dieu Road and ended up near a breakwater of small-car-sized rocks at the end of which were these two bald eagles. As Averill stayed with the car, I scrambled along the breakwater towards the eagles to get some shots of them managing not to clang my two cameras on these rocks.
Small car. A dinky toy. Matchbox. Something like that. Sitting in the old queue.
A different funky song I wrote.

This Mini Cooper (apparently called Cilla) is now used to provide chauffeur-driven or self-drive tours around London.
Colder weather is coming in a couple of months, so Serena is thinking about buying a small car to replace her scooter for getting to the office during the winter months. I hope her dad takes care of it, because, knowing his lack of knowledge about cars, I predict some pretty disastrous choices. 😄

Fort Worth has been chossen as the Official World City to test smaller cars for 2018 and the future.
An airplane engine like this has a diameter of about 3,2 meters, large enough to fit a small car inside. A curious fact is that it can generate enough thrust to move an entire freight train, showcasing the immense power required to keep an airplane in the air. Interesting, isn’t it?
A beautiful small car complete with leather seats and in pristine condition seen in a dales village. Just what you need for a trip to the shops. The old BT red phone-box is not an optional extra.

Trabant (German: [tʁaˈbant]) is a series of small cars produced from 1957 until 1991 by former East German car manufacturer VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke Zwickau. Four models were made: the Trabant 500, Trabant 600, Trabant 601, and the Trabant 1.1. The first model, the 500, was a relatively modern car when it was introduced.
It featured detachable duroplast body panels on a galvanised steel unibody chassis, front-wheel drive, a transverse two-stroke engine, and independent suspension. Because this 1950s design remained largely unchanged until the introduction of the last model, the Trabant 1.1 in 1990, the Trabant became symbolic of the former East Germany's stagnant economy and the collapse of the Eastern Bloc in general. better source needed] Called "a spark plug with a roof", 3,096,999 Trabants were produced.

This is a very small town situated on the high bank of Volga river. This is Plios. A true brilliant of the Golden Ring of Russia. Famous by its charming views and more than this - because of Levitan, a classic Russian painter of XIX century who spent several years here and made this old town world known.
We took a small car weekend trip to see local beauties. Conditions were pretty good to take early morning pictures.
Leaving home for some weeks for a vacation, but I’ll be back soon:-)
Thank you for all the comments and faves, dear friends.
This is one of my favourite spots on Dartmoor. The shot features just a small section of Combestone Tor which is virtually in the centre of the moor, half way between Hexworthy and Venford Reservoir. It is nearly 1,200 feet above sea level and with its small car park on the edge of the road it is the most accessible of all the Dartmoor Tors. There are extensive views of the valley of the River Dart, with Dartmeet and the remains of its clapper bridge about a mile away to the north.
A beautiful classic vehicle for Italy lovers
Fiat Nuova 500
Small car from the motor vehicle manufacturer Fiat (1957-1975)
The Fiat 500 (also known as the "Cinquecento") from 1957 to 1975 was a small car from the motor vehicle manufacturer Fiat. After the Fiat 600 (Type 100) became the successor to the old 500 Topolino in 1955, the Fiat board of directors under Vittorio Valletta considered it necessary to develop a new entry-level model. Ideas for a small car with an engine of around 400 cc had already existed in the Fiat Group since the 1930s. The then head of passenger car development, Dante Giacosa, then developed the Fiat 500 (Type 110), which was built from 1957. Giacosa described the circumstances surrounding the development of the vehicle and the production process in his autobiography I miei 40 anni di progettazione alla Fiat (My 40 years of project development at Fiat), published in 1979.

10.6.2018, painting exhibition in my garage, Freiburg
More than a year ago, in my small car repair shop, I asked if I could make a picture exhibition in the work hall in the smell of oil and gasoline. On 10.6. it was time.
One Sunday, while the work rested, I showed 30 of my paintings. In addition to those painted between 1972-1985, there were also those of the last time that I have already presented here at Flickr.
This is the oldest known surviving Austin Seven Swallow and is thought to be one of only three cars preserved from the Blackpool production.
While the Swallow Sidecar Company had been founded in Blackpool in 1922 to make motorcycle sidecars, within a few years the company took on coach building work under the direction of the young and ambitious William Lyons. By 1926, the company had become the Swallow Sidecar & Coach Building Ltd., and Lyons decided to make his own special-bodied cars. In common with many specialist coach builders, he based his product on the chassis of Britain’s best-selling small car, the Austin Seven.
This 1928 Austin Seven Swallow, DS 6866, is owned buy the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust and is preserved at the British Motor Museum.

The end of one GWR era and the last image of the recent South Wales trip, before heading back onto the M4 a call was made at Bishton Crossing Box. This ex GWR I believe is scheduled for closure this year, 2019 and with it will see the abolition of the last set of wheel-operated gates on the former Western Region.
The former GWR signal box is now used as a crossing box and only controls the gates of the crossing when large vehicles need to cross. Pedestrians and small cars have to use the 5ft 6in underpass, which on our visit was very dark and sounded incredibly wet, not somewhere I’d fancy walking.
Caught at speed and running on diesel an unidentified GWR IEP passes on the recently energised mainline with 1B55 the 16:15 Paddington to Swansea.
