In prison, where choice is restricted and control is enforced, change seems impossible. When Dani goes to prison counselling she is reluctant to communicate with her counsellor, Heather. Heather introduces Dani to matchstick modelling. Inspired by a true story, Matchsticks provides an insight into the often misunderstood lives of prison inmates.

And so, that's it (post shower). Not different from the drawing except I moved the E and Z (or Z and E, depending on how you look at it) up (or down) so it didn't look so hmm...stoic? Stark?
Anyways, it's smack-dab in the middle of my chest; the top is about the level of my armpits, a little over 2" wide.
Yaayyyyy!
I was so dorky, though. Apparently the guy I got a tattoo from was quite famous, and so I was trying to make smalltalk but it just ended up kind of awkward nonetheless. While I'm proud to have gotten a Joe Vegas tattoo, I feel kind of bad because this so didn't put his talent to use, you know? But yay!!!
Converted to B&W.
When walking into the backlanes of the old city of Jaipur, trying to escape the touts and tourist for a while, suddenly I heard a girl calling "hello what's your name?" Looking around it took a while before I realised the voice was coming from the rooftop. The girl with the teddy bear started a smalltalk with me in her best English and soon other kids gathered from the rooftop of the houses on the opposite side as well. The kids were flying kites up there. (Dec 2006)
