This carpetbag is much smaller than the usual ones I find.

This flag is from a small collection of silk state flags printed on silk circa 1910. The size is approximately 11 x 17 inches and each flag has silk ties on the hoist side. This is one of only two known examples of the Maine state flag of this design. The other example (of similar size and material) was purchased by a Maine vexillologist after I alerted him to the opportunity.

There was one butterfly defying a strong, bitterly cold northerly wind when I visited the buddleia near Ramsden Square. There are more flowers appearing now.

I bought this at Toys“R”Us. Originally, this is a cutter for clayey. Trim away the edge of mushroom cup by petit knife.

The Small Ludovisi Sarcophagus has only a single band of battle but the Romans here fight three enemies. Winged victories standing on nude prisoners and palm trees at the corners symbolize victory. Although using Hellenistic sculptural models, the portrayal is a typical Roman view of triumphal power. The style of the relief is similar to the Column of Marcus Aurelius and thus this sarcophagus probably also dates from 175-180 AD. The smaller sarcophagus is on display in the room adjacent to the Ludovisi Gaul.

The Palazzo Altemps in Rome is part of the Museo Nazionale Romano (National Roman Museums) and is used to display around 150 quality sculptures from antiquity. Highlights of the museum include the Altemps, Boncompagni Ludivisi, and Mattei collections such as the Ludovisi Gaul, the Ludovisi Throne, a seated Ares, exceptional sarcophagi, colossal heads, and magnificent further sculptures from antiquity that were restored to various degrees, especially in the baroque period. The museum is absolutely worth visiting and included in combination tickets with the Palazzo Massimo in Rome.

Something I didn't get to try last time I went upstate. Wish it was a greater flow of water, but beggars can't be choosers.

Alex gave me this eye patch last year because I got a new job.

Took a drive back down FM 623, between Bee and Live Oak County this morning to see if I could capture some of the late-blooming wild flowers (spotted these while driving to a favorite rock collecting site on Monday)

Hello, Flickr! Been about a month and I have been crazy busy. Hope all is well.

This small Waterfall is on the trail to St. Mary's Falls in North Cheyenne Canon Park. We got here around 7 AM, and the morning sun was really doing a nice job with it. I slowed it down as much as I could (dared?) by shooting at 1/5 of a sec.

This was the only one seen on the visit but I am very pleased with the photo. It really shows the blue spots well.

Early morning shot of a small pier near the Claiborne Pell Bridge in Newport, Rhode Island.

Flowers I took near my place, this time not with the macro lens, but with the 50mm f/1.4, hence the quite shallow depth of field.
