another small unfisnished model that I found and finished recently.
I did fold a bigger version a while ago and called it swarm tessellation then (I think it was Till who actually named it). I did something fancy with the edges back then I of course I couldn't remember now and so this has no special edges.
it's fun to fold this pattern and if you want to try then you might want to have a look at the crease pattern.
Some small builds which I built recently... Mainly stuff I've seen on Instagram and other random things...

Vending machine is from Tiago since he's upset that I didn't link him. It was on the other photo.

I was supposed to go to a doll meet today, but unfortunately I got sicker again. I’ve had an annoying infection of the airways (actually, multiple, both bacterial and viral) for about a month now, and I was sure it was almost gone, but this morning I woke up with a head splitting sinus headache again so I was like nope, can’t go. Which is a shame, as I was really looking forward to it D:
As a consolation, I snapped a group pic of the dolls that were supposed to go with me at least. I really hope I can make the next one.

This quaint New England village scene was unashamedly stolen from a friend. So I must give credit to Caleb Wentzell who inspired me with his angle that I saw on his fabulous Flickr feed. I did of course put my own take on it by including the full height of the stone retaining wall and a portion of Souhegan River flowing beneath Island Street that the train is crossing in the distance.
The three story brick and wooden building to the right of the train dates from the late 19th century and wa originally The Whiting and Sons Box Shop. Operated by the family for more than 125 years as a grist mill, a saw mill and maker of apple boxes, milk crates and a line of toys. In 1955, the company was purchased by Chaffee Brothers, of Oxford., Mass, who operated the company for about three years, until wooden boxes were mostly displaced by cardboard.
This was a fun morning spent following around the first run of the tiny little Milford-Bennington Railroad over a five mile stretch of the old Boston and Maine Hillsboro Branch between the quarry in South Lyndeborough and the Granite State Concrete facility in Milford.
Here they are headed back east (railroad south) at about MP 16.6 on the state owned portion of the former B&M Hillsboro Branch. In about 2/10ths of a mile they'll pause at the derail to open up and continue on trackage rights over the still Pan Am owned portion of the branch that they share. Leading is the M-B's sole operating locomotive MBRX #901, an SW900 built for the CN as #7250 in Mar 1958 trailed by 10 loaded hoppers with a bay window caboose on the rear.

Which we found on our front steps. Nothing shows here to give it size perspective, but the snake was only about 5 inches long fully stretched out. Adults can reach over 3 feet. Beautiful snakes, and perfectly harmless. North of Watsons Corners, Lanark County, Ontario, Canada.

In the United States sometimes called myrtle or creeping myrtle. The Small Periwinkle is a trailing subshrub, spreading along the ground and rooting along the stems to form large clonal colonies. The leaves are evergreen.
(Latin: Vinca minor. Swedish: Vintergröna, which means Winter green.)
This is probably a Milk thistle (Silybum) flower. Thistles have some defenses.
I took an unexpected hiatus, due to some unexpected computer problems. I'm back for a couple of days, then will be off for traveling.
It's good to be back!
