A slightly mesmerizing scene at sunrise this morning.
About 9 minutes of video reduced to about 38 seconds. The black objects flying about are Magpie geese coming in to land in the back yard. The sunrise is to the right and the cloud is about 50km away, over Cape Hotham and moving westerly. (roughly) Shot at 155mm
When I first got up there was some lightning leaping out from the bottom of the cloud. but oh, no I cunningly waited until all that stopped then got the camera out. ( I am being critical about myself for taking too long to think about getting the camera out.)
The first play is a bit stop start but second time you play it, in the same session, the vid should run smoothly.

Casio EX-F1 slowmo video of various insects. Mostly bees but also one damselfly. I am going to get a lot better at this when my new achromat close-ups arrive.
We haven't had much snow until a few days ago. Now Mother Nature is making up for it! This is the view from our back patio.

Towards the end of Victory Day, after the military has finished, Red Square becomes a parade route for the descendants of Russia's veterans who carry their photos.

Together they've set up the scene before, so Frankie could practice her skills as a screaming actress.

Ok my friends, i am going away on Holiday, will be back home in September. Two weeks of doing nothing but get fat :D
Gonna leave you all with this clip of a Swallowtail in flight, filmed at 300fps, you can see its wings, in the beginning it looks like its getting carried away by the wind, but its totally cool to see how they fly in slowmo (remember, if you dont see it in slowmo, then you have to refres the page). hope to get better clips of them in flight on Holiday.
