A slow parade of clouds ushered in a blue night at Southerndown. Lots of time to watch the light slowly fade and the waves to caress the shore. A slow parade is by A A Bondy.
slow news day. I posted earlier; twice in a day. go figure. i remember when i'd post 10 or 20 at a slew. we went out for groceries, meandering slowly from aisle to aisle, telling dumbass inside jokes and Family Guy references. she bought a blue summer dress and she loves it. Saw some friends at the store and invited them over for a bonfire and grilling later tonight. we came home, fed the dogs, cleaned the kitchen, built the aforementioned bonfire, put on some old school jazz, and danced on the porch. the tequila is chilling in the freezer - swing by and we'll have a few drinks.
salute' from the slow lane.
The remains of an old truck are slowly reclaimed by the beautiful red-rock desert of southeastern Utah. I like how the oxidation of the trucks metal is starting to match the natural oxidation of the iron in the red-rocks. This was seen in Valley of the Gods. I have driven by Valley of the gods many times on my way to Monument Valley and other places and I was glad we took the time to visit this place this time. There are lots of interesting sandstone formations. Some I even liked better than monument valley. Plus its free and the dirt road is in pretty good condition. We made it in our 2wd minivan across the whole park. These truck remains are near a sharp turn on a hill. I am guessing the driver didn't make the turn and rolled down the hill to where the truck was ultimately left.

C'était beaucoup trop venteux aujourd'hui pour faire de la photo en longue exposition.
It was way too windy today to make long exposure photography.
End of the day at Burton Ferry, Pembrokeshire. The tide slowly sneaks in. It was so calm and the reflections in the water were amazing.
There are many corners on roads passing through villages of my local countryside, each with dilapidated houses nearby. This is one of those corners, I visited it with my father in early November 2019.

Wish I could... no, scratch that. Fact is, even if I didn't always have a "to do" list with thirty things on it...
No, scratch THAT. Because I will always have things that I need/want to do. Take away the household chores, the job, the errands, and I still have the hobbies: so many books to read, photos to make/edit/share, writing to do, hikes to hike, etc.
I don't need to slow down. I just need more hours in my days, days in my weeks, years in my life.
Image made with my Hasselblad 500 C/M.
iPhone slow shutter capture to show the changing urban scape here. More towers are coming; not to my liking. Thanks for your appreciation, Gail
