2) moving with your subject - I took an obvious approach to this one and decided to stalk random people around the city and see what I could come up with. I liked this shot because there seemed to be a few dimensions to it - the light trail looks like it spells out PIG. For me - the use of a vignette - the darkness concentrated in the foreground and the spotlighting of the subject walking towards the bright city, feels like movement from darkness, and isolation into hope. There is an anticipation of finding something, of self discovery in the melee and bright lights of the city.

... wandering on Walney Island

My neighbour, and photography buddy Raffaella, turned her head while I was experimenting with slow shutter speeds..We were at a meeting with other enthusiasts discussing details about an upcoming gallery show on the theme 'The language of time'- 'Il linguagio del tempo.' My 6 images for the show are all abstracts, hers are portraits.

Thought this looked like a crocodile/alligator/dragon, tail on the left, then follow the coil to the head. It is even guarding it's treasure ;P

Fireworks are fun to shoot when experimenting with motion techniques and slow shutter speeds.

I Don't Remember Leaving The Lights On...

~~~~~
Living room, abandoned mining house. What will our homes look like in a hundred years? Will there be people living there? I always wonder what sort of stories these homes could tell, who visited there, what happened....
~~~~~

My friends Mike, Tim and I photographed two consecutive nights at Yellow Dog ghost town in Pennsylvania, two blocks of abandoned miner's homes located among green farmland, forests, and rolling green hills, built between 1912-1925. A family owns it now, painstakingly restoring the homes, and lives there with several residents. We are especially grateful to the owners for granting special permission to photograph on the property at night, particularly advisable since many in the area are armed and keep a watchful eye on the historic region.

Mid 70’s today in the Florida Keys, tons of sun, no wind. C’mon down, no crowds early winter.

Slowshutter for iphone, zero edits.

7Artisans manual lens at F8 plus a 16mm macro extension tube; three ND filters, four LED spotlights; edited in Fuji's raw converter and refined and cropped in Luminar. I am currently experimenting with slow shutter speeds in order to be able to arrange the background of the image. Here, I am flipping a paper rose from one side to the other and, by doing so, I did create the red 'out-of-focus background.
