Salto Grande is a waterfall on the Paine River connecting the Nordenskjöld Lake with the Pehoe Lake in Torres del Paine. Paine Grande massif is in the backgroud.

This place makes you take some kitschy photos.

It looks best full-screen so please press "L" and check it

From a recent strike night :) The two brightest reflections on the left are from Jupiter and Saturn. Single exposure.

📍 Porthcurno 🌊☀️🌊

A final photo from a visit to Porthcurno back in November...

When visiting this beach (which isn't too often), I like to include the distinctively shaped distant "Teryn Dinas" cliffs in my compositions. On top of these cliffs rests "Logan Rock" - a 65 ton, rock balanced about 30 metres above the sea, with an interesting history. Look it up - www.cornwalls.co.uk/porthcurno/logan_rock.htm

I timed this photo as a bigger wave came in and washed around centrally framed rock.

Skies were pretty clear on the morning of this shoot. Almost too clear! The one thick cloud in the sky just about managed to catch the rising sun - dulling it's intensity enough for camera to deal with. Soon after this was shot, just half and hour after sunrise, I felt that the light was too strong more shots.

2022-58

a study in high key lighting

Latching little hooks

On a disused picture antenna

The fledglings broadcast in chattering yips, squawks, squabbles and whistles

That sometimes dip.

Like they know that 1 is missing.

Stunning place to visit if you like walking and water.

Same spot, different shot, monochrome processing. Schooner Head, Acadia National Park, Maine.

Taken Nov 24, 2020

Shot with ND filter to get water motion smoothed to mist

No post-processing, no in-camera enhancements

Loved the moonlight shining on the water. The moon was too high to get it in.

Zoomed in during a one second exposure. Some processing in Snapseed and Google Photos.
