Here is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Faith in Jesus, you can obtain eternal life, This is a Taiwanese familiar, Foreign missionary 's advertising paper slogan. I have no intention of spreading religion, But congratulations you have religious beliefs.

In 1996 SD40-2-3316 was selected by Union Pacific and renumbered SD40-2-1896 to commemorate the first Summer Olympic Games held in Athens, Greece in 1896.

SD40-2-B3339 was also selected by UP and renumbered to-1996 to commemorate the twenty-sixth Summer Olympic Games held in Atlanta, Georgia, whose slogan was "Share the Spirit".

The two locomotives received special livery for the Atlanta Summer Olympics and pulled the Olympic Flame Special Train to Atlanta.

After the Olympics, UP assigned the 2 SD40-2s to general service for a few months before repainting them into traditional UP colors.

In June 1996, I stumbled across the pair waiting to be assigned to a train. Later that day I chased them across Iowa on a grain empty.

Union Pacific SD40-2 No. 3701 rests between assignments in Provo, Utah on Dec. 12, 1980. The unit wears a 30 x 98.5” metal sign, designed to promote fuel conservation. There were 15 different slogans used at the time, all mounted on newer UP SD40-2 locomotives.

Freshly painted CA-9 caboose No. 25623 awaits departure from Provo, Utah on the OGVCM ore empty the afternoon of June 23, 1989. The safety slogan was authored by Frank Lopez of City of Commerce, CA.

I went to see the Nakaji Yasui exhibition. In the middle of the exhibition, something like the slogan of the photography club to which Yasui belonged was displayed on the glass. Those were words that sound rather bitter to me.

One of them says ''It is essential to be patient and forbearing even if you are bad at photography.''

Nakaji Yasui (1903-1942) played a substantial role in the history of Japanese photography. You can see some of his works in the site.

REGIME

by Hanan Muzafar Wednesday, October 17, 2018

Their vicious and brutal spider-web,

made of violence and ignorance,

serves oppression,

To rip your innocence,

corrupting your mindset,

performing suppression,

making you to choose mediocrity,

filling you with disgust,

and plans to kill the resistance.

Slogans from prison cells,

roaring for freedom;

whose here to hear them—

witnesses and victims,

What they want

'One time tea and two time bread,

A fine dine on a dead one'

Selling their crimes and lies,

hiding them in pockets.

Reformers standing up,

Revolutionaries fighting against them,

Tyrants killing them,

Mothers crying and fathers numb;

A purpose to bring justice,

making a way for wisdom—

A hideous regime making them,

To suffer.

It is cool to see this slogan on the street at Male, Maldives. Open L to see the wordings as I found it is cute.

The slogan on the bag reads "Every Little Helps" but a well placed crease is hiding the 'E' for a slogan that best matches the position I am in right now.

I'm struggling. Having to pack and downsize means losing things that are precious but not essential. It hurts. I know that I hold on to the memories but the objects related to those memories have been such an important part of my life. Having to do this on an ever decreasing time scale while getting breathless just walking up a flight of stairs still and suffering fatigue from lack of sleep. It's all a bit too much and there is not a lot that helps.

I just needed to share. It helps just a little to let it out. My head is spinning with so much to do.

I wish you all a very wonderful weekend of photography my dear Flickr friends.

Take care and take photos.

Still wearing its factory delivered EMD paint, with the obsolete 'Dependable Transportation' slogan, DD35A No. 81 and DD35 No. 83B have been serviced and await assignment at Provo Yard on Oct. 7, 1977. At this point in time, two of the original 15 DD35A units wore factory paint, the other was No. 71.

Thousands of people, mainly representatives of Berlin’s Russian population, met on 9 May 2020 at the Soviet Memorial in Treptower Park, marking 75 years since the Nazis' unconditional surrender. From the early hours of the morning until late in the evening, they commemorated the end of World War II and the countless victims of this devastating war.

There are hardly any veterans left who could tell about their wartime experiences. In the meantime, their grandchildren have taken over the conductorship in these celebrations, some of them with touching gratefulness and respect, some others in a rather playful tune. But there are also several illustrious and disconcerting individuals and groups who, under the guise of commemoration, are spreading nationalist, history-distorting and war-glorifying slogans. In the emotionally charged memory of a day when peace returned to Europe, they scatter the seeds of new conflicts and confrontations.

My photo story "Victory Day" documents an experience between emotion and scepticism, between grateful remembrance and exuberant party atmosphere.

Still one of my all-time favorite bumper stickers....

The slogan on bar top said "Eat, drink & be merry."

Someone was blocking my view when I took the picture. The word merry cannot be fully seen. I am not 100% merry.

The happiness in life does not come entirely from food I think. Purely eat and drink good stuff can't make you happy all the time.

On the other hand, when one could not eat and drink properly, he/she would not be happy for sure.

Wish you a happy weekend!

The shutter is so slow in the picture i.e. 1/17 second. But life is running slow also in this part of the world. So it does not matter any more.

World Environment Day 2016- "Go wild for life".

The illegal trade in wildlife (ITW) is pushing many species of animals and plants toward local or global extinction and robbing us of our natural heritage. The killing and smuggling of these species is also undermining economies, fuelling organised crime, and feeding corruption and insecurity across the globe.

This disappearance of iconic species such as elephants, tigers or sea turtles would be a disaster for conservation efforts. But the loss of any species, even at a local level, is an erosion of the biodiversity that underpins the natural systems upon which we all depend for our food security, medicines, fresh air, water, shelter and a clean and healthy environment.

The WED 2016 campaign aims to raise awareness of the far-reaching nature of wildlife crime and – with the slogan “Go Wild for Life” – encourages people to change their habits to reduce demand for illegal wildlife products, and to press friends, colleagues and officials to do what they can to stop the illegal trade. This call is based on the hope that individual actions and statements can collectively bring about a sea-change in attitudes and policies toward both the trade in illegal wildlife products.

The "Poppy Movement" was launched to mobilize citizens against pesticides. The poppy, with its bright red petals and black heart, is an identifiable flower among all. Pretty, easy to grow, the flower is well known to young and old. But for grain farmers, the poppy is above all a weed that breeds in their crops. Poppies draw water and nutrients from the soil and shade the cultivated plants. Most farmers use synthetic herbicides to destroy poppies at the root. Problem: the intensive use of herbicides would lead to a disappearance of these red flowers of our campaigns. Some voices thus denounce monocord cereal crops, without wild flowers. Not surprising, therefore, that the environmental movement launched on September 12 draws its name from the flower. Under the slogan "We want poppies".
