A slit-scan image, mapping out the incremental drift patterns of the Whitney music box. Shot using the slit-scan camera app on an iPod touch.

A strip photography self-portrait. It is possible! You just need a willing cousin to act as mirror modulator, some whiskey, and impeccable timing.

Birmingham Flickr Meet 10th February 2008. Petri TTL adapted to use as slitscan camera, with Paragon 24mm lens. Agfa APX400 in Caffenol-C.

Photograph taken using my mobile phone which has a simple shutter. The effect of the slowly moving train makes the resulting image slant, similar to Lartigue's famous photo of the racing car.

For this last one, we reworked the box so the slit was at an angle. We were too tired at this point to figure out what would happen. As it turns out, not very much. On the right, we can see the carpet through the can, which is pretty weird. We were hoping for some twisting, but in retrospect, I think that would require us to change the angle between the vector of the slit's movement and the axis of rotation of the can, and that would take a more complicated setup. Next time!
