Ice and snow covered switchbacks descending into the Bryce Canyon amphitheater at the Navajo Loop Trail. The eastern side of the trail and was very slippery as it was covered with a thick layer of ice and snow. It reminded me of a slip and slide since it was so icy. The eastern half is usually open year-round. Poles, or other traction devices are recommended for winter travel. The western half of this loop is usually closed during winter because of falling rocks in the Wall Street section.

These rocks look like they could slide on down into the valley any minute. They'll probably still be there long after I'm gone and forgotten.
