Another great American city -- Chicago, Illinois. . .no longer known as Second City because it has slipped behind Los Angeles as now the third most populated U.S. city.

Many thanks for your visits, kind comments and faves, very much appreciated.

Luckily not me today but this Grade 2 listed pier, which bit by bit is falling into both the sea and disrepair.

I blasted my arms a bit today but here's my slipped down singlet and a nice pose for all the pit hair lovers out there

This is my boat slip and I have one for rent. 125 for 40 prims to dock your boat and use this area. This is in Novatron on the continent of Corsica with access to Linden water and sailing through many many sims.

An old house in Lakota where the front porch seems to have slipped...and is now in the garden.

I was sitting at my desk last Friday when I got a call from the boss telling me to get my bum out the door and get a picture of the moon. I had no idea what he was talking about so I wandered around my building until I saw it. It was gorgeous!! Like a good employee I rounded everyone up for a look and while all were nicely distracted, I slipped out the backdoor. :-)

Totally uncomfortable with night photography, there I was in the freezing cold and wondering how to do this. There is a line in a song I like, "It is better to feel pain, than nothing at all," and let me tell you, it was painful. :-) Literally, my hands hurt, I could't feel my face, also no tripod. So I propped the camera up on a bollard and gave it a try. I lasted ten minutes max before I thought I would freeze to the earth.

Anyhow...here is the wolf moon. I wasn't sure if I was doing it justice but regardless, I loved being out there. Me and night photography.....a stubborn love.

I'm snowed in today but cozy, happy, and hopped up on coffee. Wishing you all the same good Friday feels!

Came upon this surreal scene recently while exploring the historic part of a local cemetery. I always gravitate to the central core of these burial grounds. Many of these cemeteries have been annexed over the years and are still active. In the more recent sections, graveside decorations abound; all manner of flowers, statuettes, figurines, wind chimes, and landscaping touches. The absence of all of this is what strikes me most as I walk into the older sections. These people are long dead, most well over 100 years. There is no immediate family left to visit, let alone decorate. People seldom come here. The effect is that of deserted island right out in the open. These pockets of desolation pull me in every time. It's the sad energy I think; and the visuals. These scene here was greatly enhanced by the extreme overgrowth. As if Mother Nature was intent on pulling the monuments (and even her own trees) into the ground, erasing all trace of them. A surreal scene and compelling metaphor. I've been here before, yet the mystical effect never seems to diminish.
