I'm not the only one who thinks barns should be red. I used this photo www.flickr.com/photos/joeyz51/52456911726/ as the template for this AI creation.
A Rose is always full of Beauty,
In which ever Way it presents itself
Be it in the State of Bud, or Decay
Which may be Symbols for αlpha and Ωmega
To remind us that nothing is for Eternity
Not even the Beauty of a Rose
So admire the beautiful Bud,
and also its State of Decay
But enjoy its Beauty when in Full Bloom

The main lake at the Britzer Garten which is one of Berlin's biggest and most beautiful public parks. On that photowalk, in June '21, I had brought along the Ricoh GRIII (with which this photo was taken), and the Olympus equipped with the 7-14mm zoom lens (you can find a photo taken with that combo in the first comment). Back then, I couldn't decide which photo I should upload first, and the Oly image "won". So now it's the GRIII's turn. For this image, I had used a filter from the NiSi Master Kit for the GRIII (the polarizer, if I remember correctly), a set of filters that consists of a camera adapter, a filter holder, and, of course, several filters. This is a single image that I've duly (over-)processed for Sliders Sunday by using this and that in Color Efex, Viveza, and ON1 Photo RAW, plus a few LR tweaks and slidings. I hope you like it, HSS :)
Dear Flickr friends, I can't say how much time I will have for Flickr in the next weeks. We're having massive water damage in our apartment which means that right now (and for the next weeks) everything here is a huge mess. I will certainly stop by on Flickr every day to check your photos, and I also hope that, once we're settled some more again, or time permits otherwise, I can also continue to take part in MMs, and also continue to upload once or twice a week... Well, let's see how it will be.
Have a nice week ahead, and take care!
Reflections in one of many oxbow lakes formed by the Brazos River in its meanders along the coastal plain. Probably the lake has a name, surely isn’t the same as the title of the photo.
I was first attracted by the misty light and glassy reflections on a very grey day. Tried a little black point tweak and various other adjustments, until ... the original look that appealed to me was totally gone. So back to the sliders to restore something like the best of both. Hope you enjoy this, and Sliders Sunday!

American Robins begin to arrive in southern areas of Canada in early March and start nesting this time of year. The young are fed mostly earthworms, caterpillars and beetles which are in abundance. In winter they head back south, sometimes as far as southern Mexico and Guatemala, when their diet changes to mostly fruits and berries.

happy sliderssunday!
I haven't been very active in the Sliders Sunday group lately but had a little play this evening to try to come up with something. First confession is that this is not actually an ICM. It was a straight seaside shot which I've added a little movement to in post processing, using motion blur in Photoshop. However, it still didn't cut it for me so I decided to import the old Brighton West Pier into the scene using layers, again in PS. Not sure how convincing the final result is. Well actually now that I've told you how it was put together I imagine not very convincing at all!

Really had to dig for detail in the distant mountains! Happy Sliders Sunday!
Original monochrome photo taken in the Art Gallery of Ontario then toning and colours added in ON1 using various photo filters. Image then exported into Topaz Studio for more mucking about and addition of a frame to make it "Arty" What else can you do on a wet Sunday ?
"CONSTRUCTION" - SOTN Challenge #66
www.flickr.com/groups/shockofthenew/discuss/7215770883002...
On Saturday afternoon we stopped in the capital at a small shopping centre for a few things. I was lucky that there was construction going on right next to the parking lot. This is a combo of two of the few shots i quickly grabbed. The construction worker on the top right was looking at me quite suspiciously, he must have thought i was a right weirdo:-))

A recent photo, taken two and a half weeks ago at the Messe Berlin (trade fair grounds of the Messe Berlin). At the moment, the Messe Berlin functions as one of Berlin's five vaccination centres, and I'd accompanied my mother when she had her first vaccination appointment, but I had to wait outside, because only the vaccinees were allowed inside. But since I'd brought my camera(s) along (of course I had, the Oly and the Ricoh), I whiled away the (short) waiting time by taking some photos – a most welcome diversion from the "stay at home, leave only for neccessary errands" routine. Although, of course, the vaccination had been a very neccessary (and long awaited) errand, too ;) And next Wednesday, my mother will get her second jab of the Biontech-Pfizer vaccine.
This photo shows the Berlin Radio Tower, the older brother of the Berlin TV Tower, and, one could say so, the younger brother of the grand Eiffel Tower – I think a certain resemblance can't be denied. The Berlin Radio Tower, however, is of a much lighter, slimmer appearance than its world famous brother. The concrete foundation of the 146 metres high tower spans a mere 20 square metres and it is also the only observation tower in the world that stands on porcelain insulators. The Berlin Radio Tower was built between 1924 and 1926, and in 1932 (other sources say 1935) the world's very first TV programme was broadcasted from the tower. I can recommend a visit to the Radio Tower's viewing platform which, at a height of 126 metres, offers a really nice view of Berlin. There's also a restaurant (at 50 metres).
Here, I particularly liked the natural, delicate-looking ramification of the still bare branches of the trees in the foreground in comparison to the filigree, elegant construction of the Berlin Radio Tower. So my "sliding" aim was to highlight all these structures. I wanted to achieve an airy, graphic, "high-key-ish" look. The image itself is a HDR made of five single (exposure bracketing) images. I first processed the images in DXO with only a few basic adjustments, before I let Lightroom do the HDR combination work. I did that, because I wanted to use the really excellent DeepPrime denoising technology that DXO offers (albeit for RAW files only). After combining the images in LR, I went into Color Efex, were I applied the filters "Brilliance and Warmth", "High Key", "Reflector Efex (Soft Gold)", and the "Skylight Filter", all individually tweaked to my liking.
P.S. I've added the geotag for the spot I've taken this image from (the central dividing strip of the Masurenallee), not for the Radio Tower itself.

If you like anything on my photos, I'm very pleased... just share your kindness, I'm grateful in advance for your views, likes and comments... a lot of thanks :)
All sorts of processing here. With LR I enhanced the natural blues in the succulent plants, pushed the shadows to increase contrast and added texture to bring out the geometric shapes of the leaves; using Brushstroke I transformed the image into a painting; and in Lightleap I added a rainy overlay.
For Sliders Sunday. So what to do with a less than perfect photo ( and there are more than one)? Try a bit of post processing and blur techniques! HSS

Off to celebrate my Dad's 84th Birthday, so sorry to post and
I seem to have a bit of a blue theme over the last couple of days - not intentional! This was a shot taken on my favourite beach a while ago - the patterns in the sand reminded me of trees. Inverted the image to give a blue tone. HSS!
“Yarra’s Edge” is a digital art piece I’m posting for Sliders Sunday.
The background image is from one of my original photos from along the Yarra River near Crown Casino, featuring the Sandridge Bridge (original photo is linked in first comment). My model is created in Midjourney, so this is basically some practise in selection/extraction and compositing then colour matching, colour grading and changing the tones to achieve the result I wanted.
A shot of my daughter packing a travel bag, actually:-)
