Found Kodachrome slide dated November 1959 (which I think is the oldest dated slide I have found so far).
The bearings fit into the body quite nicely, however they didn't slide! Hardware store drill rod isn't quite straight enough to use with a simple bearing.
Found Kodachrome slide dated July 1974, showing what looks like the remains of a small Roman amphitheatre.
These sliding doors open onto a first floor balcony, overlooking the garden and perfect for watching the sun set. The doors will open partly, or slide away fully. They have excellent thermal properties but very slim lines of sight: less frame, more view. They are also installed in the main living room and the dining room.
Found 126-format Kodachrome slide dated September 1967 showing an older woman sat in a deckchair, possibly on a pier somewhere or by an open-air swimming pool. I presume this is the same person as the grandmother in Found Slide - 1025, judging from the yellow jacket.

Years ago I bought a locked, wood "mystery box" at an auction. It had old, glass lantern slides inside.
Not sure of what countries are represented or the years they were taken.

Found Kodachrome slide dated October 1967, manually captioned "Messina, Oct '67". Google confirms that this is the 16th Century Fountain of Orion in Messina, Sicily.
