First time out shooting with the Leica Televid 77 spotting scope! Equal parts fun and frustrating, probably won't be lugging this around too often but I'm happy to have the opportunity to play around with it during a full moon! :)

an open piece of land(at northeast corner of North Branch of the Chicago River, and main Chicago River) which currently serves as a parking lot that is endangered, due to the fact a 3 building residential tower has been proposed for this site.

 

I really will be sad, if as part of this redevelopment that this view ends up disappearing. The Lake St. Control Tower was demolished on 1/15/13.

Just learned a little late that this was demolished, on 1/15/13. Glad I got shots like this while I could in December, though I unfortunately wasn't able to revisit it in time.
