This is a version of Dirk Loechel's excellent size comparison chart of just about every SF spaceship of significance. Lots of folks on lots of sites asked about the Death Star, so I hacked those in using the best estimates of their sizes I could find. This version is about 1/4 the original poster's size. It shows a little bit of a cobbled street including a storm drain and it's inspired by cities like Rome or Lisbon.
Because of the nature of the material used, it has a nice strong and compact presence and a stone-like solidity.

Sir Henry Edwards
On the northern corner of Alexandra Gardens you will find the statue of Sir Henry Edwards.
The over life-size figure is cut in white marble. There is considerable biological growth to the front of the head and the upper part of the body. Sir Henry stands facing north with his weight on his left leg, the right slightly bent. His left hand, a fist, on his hip - sweeping his knee-length coat behind it. He is dressed in late 19th century costume; winged collar, cravat and double-breasted waistcoat. The rear of his coat has pleats falling from two buttons at the centre waist. His right arm hangs straight with a rolled sheaf of papers in his hand. To the rear a narrow pedestal, half the height of the figure, is draped with apparently heavy cloth. The square marble base of the figure is supported on a granite pedestal with very large crystaline formation. There is a cornice at the top of the shaft bearing the inscription and a wider cyma-moulded lower part.
The statue of Sir Henry Edwards, MP for Weymouth for 18 years from 1867 to 1885, is unusual in being erected during his lifetime as a tribute and not a memorial. It was unveiled by the the Mayor, Alderman Howard, in the presence of the Lord Mayor of London 'and large assemblage, on 13 January 1886'. He was able to give to the Borough on a massive scale. He provided money for cottage homes for the poor at Rodwell and Edwardsville, a Working Men's Club and peal of ten bells for the Christ Church tower. He died on 4 February 1897.
On the front face of the pedestal reads:-
“Erected by Public Subscription AD 1885
To Perpetuate the Memory of the Public Services Munificent Charity and Private Worth of Sir Henry Edward MP. One of the Representatives of Weymouth & Melcombe-Regis in the House of Commons from 1867 to 1885 When the Town Ceased to be a Parliamentary Borough.”

From Left to Right:
1. Himalayan Vulture Juv (Gyps himalayensis)
2. White-rumped Vulture Adult (Gyps bengalensis)

4. Slender-billed Vulture Adult (Gyps tenuirostris)
The juvenile Himalayan vultures are significantly larger than the adult White-rumped and slender-billed!
I first photographed these wind turbines in late January 2008 when they were being assembled. I have been waiting for a nice bright day to take some more pictures. This is Mrs Nikonsnapper standing next to one today.

This is one of the coolest part of the Space Center- a place where people work with real size replicas of the Space Shuttle, IIS, Space Suits, lunar modules, etc
