A lone elephant is seen on the floor of Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. The background you can see is not clouds, but the steep walls of the 610m / 2000ft deep caldera. It is the world's largest inactive, unbroken and unfilled volcanic caldera, which was formed when a large volcano erupted and collapsed on itself.

Most of the elephants seen in the crater are old bull elephants, female do visit, but rarely and usually briefly. I have not been able to find out why that is.
