This camera has litterally been all over the world, travelling from austrila through the USA to Belgium before making it to the UK to be printed!

The photos have a strange effect to them because the person who bought the camera purchased a water proof camera that wasnt that water proof, but I think thats what makes these photos so special.

i realized today that my train of thought and artistic process in using a digital SLR isn't that different as to how it would be using a film camera. actually the only difference is that i don't get to see the photo afterwards. "trigger-happy"? i think not. this just proves wrong all those arrogant people who stereotype digital photography as "dead photography".

a little scared of screwing up my frames at first, it took me about half an hour to finally get into the groove. i couldn't even release the shutter, because i didn't know that i had to wait for the film advance wheel to click - all i did was very carefully aligned the dot to the line where it was supposed to be, terrified of going even a nano-centimeter (is there such a thing?) over.

it is so subtle, this little thing. the shutter release makes the smallest click sound. and it is done. the light has burned the film, and it is time to wind it to the next frame. it's too bad that this one's mechanism had a lock to keep me from double-exposing.

i still have six shots left on this one, which i'm going to use up by tomorrow so i can see how my photos turned out. hopefully it won't be a reliving of my first experience with a film camera: everything turned out fairly dark.

my dad bought me a pack of films last week too, and i'm hoping to get his old SLR fixed soon so i can use it.

developing my ideas on the spot in conversing with tutors has also been something that i really love in this short short course. we have two saturdays left. i think i'm pretty decided to go to WCA for, at least, my foundation course.

This is one of the pictures of an project called '27/27'. A few weeks ago I bought a fujifilm quicksnap single-use camera and decided to finish the roll in one day. I set an alarm every 27 minutes and whenever it went off, I took a picture of something/someone in my surroundings. I continued this throughout the day until all the 27 pictures got exposed.

Many pictures were underexposed, so that's why I didn't post 27 photos. Despite some failed results, I still enjoyed it very much.

Waitrose is trying to cut down its use of packaging and is trialling this in the Botley Road store, Oxford. Seems to me to be a good idea from the past whose time has come again.
