OK, it's not quite an antique, at least not for another 80 years.

I had to empty my pickup truck of all personal items before dropping the truck off for some repair work. Deep in the bowels of the truck's cubby holes was this single-use film camera that has an expiry date of 1996-07. This long-forgotten film camera has been baking in my truck for well over 22 years--nearly as old as the truck!

I can't remember the last time I shot film, but I don't know if I'll try out this one. Perhaps I'll return it to the truck after the repairs are done. (At 1:15AM a few weeks ago, someone had driven into my parked truck while trying to park. That person had backed into my pickup 6 or 7 times!)

My collection of single-use plastic straws is illegal. I’m not sure if posting this will get me a visit from the plastic police or not, but I’ll take the risk. It is interesting how Canada has changed; cannabis is now legal and plastic straws are not. Are cigarette butts also going to become illegal? They contain plastic and are a single-use item.

Don’t misunderstand, I’m all for the ban on single use plastics.

Drive-by multiple exposure using a roll of 800 film that I extracted from a cheap single-use cam with, of course, the Supersampler Almighty. "Embracing the chaos." Prost! ^_^

Taken with a snap-r single use underwater camera in week 449 of my 52 film cameras in 52 weeks project:

I picked this up in a charity shop for 75p. It had not been used, but the ISO 400 film was marked "develop before 09-2006". I have used much older films with better results, and I suspect this one was stored in a hot place or direct sunlight. The first few frames of the film are heavily fogged in a pattern which suggests that it might have been exposed to heat from one direction. I developed it in the Tetenal C41 kit, and did what I could to rescue the images after scanning.

Single use camera "simple use", Tmax 400, expired 11-17, developed for 9 minutes, fomadon R09 1:40, fixed for 5 minutes. Scanned on Epson V600.

From my walk today on Rigler Road, some of the photos I took of litter and rubbish on the side of the road.

"Comic Relief" is a British Charity event , held in March . The concept of Comic Relief is to get British comedians and other celebrities to make the public laugh, while raising money to help people . The highlight of Comic Relief is Red Nose Day , a prominent annual event on British television . The Fourth Red Nose Day was held on Friday 12 March 1993 with the slogan "The Invasion of the Comic Tomatoes", and raised £18 million . Kodak supported this goal by producing and selling this camera .

This year's (2024) Red Nose Day is Friday 15 March 2024 .
