The general profile of the community around the school is very poor and the facilities att he school attract parents to send their children to this school. The child cabinet members ensure that hand washing, personal hygiene, waste management, and other issues are followed in the school premises. The child cabinet also known as "Bal Sansads" is a joint initiative of the Department of Human Resources Development, the Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, the Government of West Bengal and UNICEF.
