The Leyland Tiger was a heavyweight half-cab single-decker bus and coach chassis built by Leyland Motors between 1927 and 1968, except during the period of World War II. The 1945 Tiger PS1 was an entirely new design from the previous Tiger TS series, featuring a new E181 7.4-litre six-cylinder engine with push-rod valve operation and a brand new four-speed ‘crash-box’.
AHL 694
was bodied by Barnaby coach-working and completed in February 1947. One of only four PS1’s bodied by the company, only half of those numbers still believed to survive today. Bodied with the 35F (35 seat front entrance) half-cab configuration, the bus has retained its original registration ‘AHL 694’. Supplied new to J. Bullocks & Sons Ltd of Featherstone, Yorkshire, the bus was then passed to West Riding Transport in a 1950’s takeover of the company, staying in active service until sometime in the 1970s. The Tiger entered preservation in 1999 being rebuilt and restored during the early 2000s with much of the frame restored or replaced, attention to the running gear, rewiring, and interior retrimming. It subsequently entered the ownership before the vendor, with the bus becoming a tour operator at Greenway House, the home of author Agatha Christie. Found this on a walk along the beach around St. Andrews bay. It's an old aluminum can covered in barnacles.
A visit was made again on the Monday morning to Niddrie West to catch a STP working from Carnforth.
Here taking the single line to Portobello Junction is West Coast Railways 47245 with a rake of coaches bound for Craigentinny. This is 5Z10, 0236 Carnforth Steamtown - Craigentinny ECS working on the 29th January 2018 and is seen at 0843
Well, I don't believe we have ever actually used this!! It's a measure for pouring a single or double sized alcoholic drink!!

A single SD50 handles a train of empty coal hoppers westbound between East and West Plane on CSXT's Old Main Line Subdivision just west of Mt Airy, MD, November 11, 1990. The train is about to duck under I-70. One note of interest here is the cab hasn't been re-stenciled with CSXT on the sides which seems to have been a rarity at this point. Nikon N8008, Fuji Neopan 400.
This lady was solo crewing her boat on the ice cold Rochdale Canal today and is here mooring at Luddendenfoot, West Yorkshire. I had a long chat with her (she refused an offer of help with mooring!). She was setting out to eventually reach Manchester - more than 90 locks.
I seldom see ducks in this runoff pond. Mom was not happy that I was lurking about. In a short time I knew why when I accidently caused the young one to flee from it's hiding place. Notice the Eastern Amberwing dragonfly just under Mom's bill, and also there is a hard to see blue damselfly in the foreground.

Riddles '9F' 2-10-0 no.92212 works along the single track south of Rothley with the 13:00 Loughborough-Leicester North train.
I can hardly believe it myself, but I finished the Single girl quilt yesterday evening. I chose an orange binding first, didn't like it, and removed it to add a simple white binding. Still not sure about this one either, but I'm not doing it a third time. The back is plain white because I didn't want a fabric that would shine through the top. I hand-quilted it with orange coton perlé and am glad I did, because without it, the quilt would be a bit too white to my taste.

Spend a couple of hours to organized all my pics on my pc....(he was almost overloaded with all the RAW files...)
If any of you have some great tips about organize photos and preventing a slowly pc let me know.......
Anyway I found some great pics back on my pc and some great memories.....
