'Pathways' is from Pennan Brae's debut release, 'Shaded Joy'. The video (bit.ly/mpb4bS) was shot in 1 province (BC), 2 countries (Canada & USA) & 6 states (WA, OR, CA, NV, UT & AZ). Directed by Mogcat, it was completed over a 10-day period, covering 6,000 miles. The video features talented Vancouver actress Julia Mauro Cooper.
This is in the restaurant named Mécénat Bistro and Gathering Place in Western Springs IL. I had come to see my friend, Clarence Goodman, sing that evening.

A good day watching the cricket and football - as well as finishing off the book about the rise of fascism in Hitler's Germany seen through the lives of ordinary people by Julia Boyd. Then it was off to Buxton Opera House to see Gilbert O'Sullivan. By my maths, he's 72 years old, but sharp as a tack and wearing extremely well as you can see. Photos were allowed with no flash - as if I needed an excuse? Worst part of the day was the non-arrival of an Amazon parcel. My local delivery person doesn't like working Saturdays. obviously.
A morning of very little, but my Ebay order of a pair of dodgy Dr Martens arrived at least. Caught the 2.34 train from Crewe to Manchester - a journey that normally takes about 45 minutes - but on this occasion, nearly two and a half hours due to a combination of points failure and a broken down train ahead of us. Hot, sticky and rammed. Not the best way to spend an afternoon. The purpose of the trip was to see Lilly Hiatt supported by Boss Caine at Gulliver's in Manchester. I met up with friends and ate heartily in Wetherspoons before taking in the gig - very good it was too. A dash to the station and I caught the 10.36 train and managed to put two drunken guys right - they thought they were going to Chester, when in fact the train was going to Shrewsbury...hopefully they found the correct platform in Crewe for their correct train - but i doubt it...
