It is best to ride the snapping turtle of the music business than to be eaten by it. Am I right Music City singers and musicians?

Why is this strange image on the wall of a music recording studio, you ask. Well, I think this mural’s subtleties are meant for the music artists of Music City. I suspect this mural is actually an homage to a source of country music's roots, its very creation –i.e. African American country songs, instruments, spirituals, sounds, singers, musicians, and innovations— before those black roots were whited out of country music and forgotten.

On the other hand, the turtle reminds me of the major river waterways that historically have brought a hodge-podge of people to work, live, and sing in Nashville.

Don't you think?

Went up to Bury (it was a film title too...check IMDB!) to see Richard Hawley. He was excellent as usual.

Samantha Murphy is coming to town for the big Podcast Hotel convention. Also, she'll be appearing at the Madrone Lounge on Thursday night, and you should go see her. *We* should go see her. She's good. She just got a new record deal, even.

I have a great experience for pre production. Since I came in LA, I have been working as a Camera Operator, Camera assistant, Key Grip and G/E for more than 60 shooting production. The reason why a lots of production call me on set is I could communicate with my team, then could find out the solution in limited time and has a patient for that. Also I have a knowledge for Final Cut Pro 7 and Premiere Pro. Which is involving principle color grading and data management skill. In addition, I can do photo shooting and editing. One of the thing is my photograph had shown on the Louvre Museum Digital display. Therefore, I would say I am a multi skilled worker.

Wine shop on Stoke Hill, Bristol who's name derives from that of the wonderful English singer/songwriter. Perhaps not the best of people to name a wine shop after as she died from alcohol poisoning in 2011. Closed when I took this as it was Easter Sunday.

a few years ago, i fell in love with a song by Joshua Radin, "Closer". i found it the way i seem to find most these days: on a television show.

i've since been mad abut the rest of his songs as they are very much the singer/songwriter style that i'm crazy about. give me a voice and a guitar or a voice and a piano and i'm sold.

Ashley chose the songs this week in Musically Challenged and selected "Today", by Joshua Radin.

this particular song wasn't in my tops of his until Ellen Degeneres showed a 4 minute video montage of the day she married Portia De Rossi and it's just unreal beautiful. i tear up every damn time i see it.

the photo above is more of a literal take on just one line of lyrics, and not indicative of the entire song itself. the video does that job brilliantly, so have a look there, if so inclined.

if you like simple but beautiful singer/songwriter music, i can't recommend Joshua Radin enough.

You can dry your eyes

Perfect shadows alive

Behind us

This is the day i make you mine

You are the one

I've been wating for today

And here comes the sun

That's been baiting on today

Lately i've lost my tongue

Today you found the sun

I know not long has grown

Well i thank god you came along
