Part deaux in the Singer Sewing books line. Helpful hints
As I am primarily a wedding photographer, I don't do a lot of portrait sessions... However, I absolutely love doing headshots for performers. It was a beautiful Sunday morning and the lighting and weather was perfect!
singer 321 knitting machine - "the knitting computer" - I bought it off ebay and collected it today. the man said it was his mother's - she bought it new in 1974 and used it once or twice then it was in the shed for the past 35 years. she died two years later in 1976 of cancer. so maybe she was too unwell to use it. it seems to be complete - even has the original and spare punch cards. there's a ribber too. the man (Trevor) said his first wife didn't use it, but he'd kept it around as his sister who's now in Scotland wanted it as a keepsake of their mother but that it was time to get rid of it now. he'd just been remarried six years ago so now they had two household's worth of stuff that they were sorting through and getting rid of. it cost me $52 + a drive to berowra heights to collect it. they live overlooking the national park - beautiful spot!

The Funeral of Liverpool's own Herbert Howe. The cortege visited his salon on Hanover St, then headed to the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral for the service.
Herbert began his hairdressing career almost 50 years ago, becoming the youngest-ever Guild master at aged 28. His vision to create the Harrods of Hairdressing spurred him to become a highly successful businessman, garnering awards and column inches in the process.
In 2011, Herbert was honoured to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award for Services to Hairdressing in the UK, from The Fellowship of British Hairdressing.
