This is a hydraulically operated flight simulator. Totally cool. You can simulate the 3-axis motion of flight in this thing. It was kind of jerky motion-wise, but if you don't know anything about flying it gave you a good starting point for controlling an airplane. As I can recall, the fuselage/wing shell it was made from came from one of many aircraft that were damaged in a flooding incident many years ago.

All pilots need to go through training, both initial & recurrent. That's how safety-conscious airlines are. As someone who takes care of training & development, I go in when I can to look, feel & listen to the people involved in development events. That's me, partially hidden, after the first time I landed the aircraft in Macau (that's what the simulation was about) - I think my heart rolled out of my chest the moment the Captain on my left disengaged the auto pilot!
