Biographical History: George Sims was born in Windsor, NSW in 1890 to Walter Henry Sims and Louisa Lock of the Darug people. He was working as a labourer in Goomeri when he enlisted in Brisbane 10 June 1918.
Sims was initially assigned to the 5th General Reinforcements, Queenslandopen_in_new and trained at Rifle Range Camp, Enoggera, just outside the city of Brisbane. Sims left Brisbane aboard a specially assigned troop train bound for Sydney where they embarked on the troopship HMAT Borda in July 1917 arriving in England 6 weeks later in late September.
While training at military camp at Fovant, in Wiltshire he was assigned to the 26th Infantry Battalion but fell ill in late October with chronic bronchitis and was admitted to the Military Hospital at Hurdcott, another Australian facility.
Simms was never to see action in the front line, the war had ended in Europe by the time he was well enough to participate. He was repatriated to Queensland in December 1918 returning on the hospital ship Somali.
Sims lived and worked in both Queensland and NSW – Cloncurry, Wowan in the Dawson Valley and Junee, in the Riverina region of NSW; he married Mary Ellen Armstrong in 1939.

"Sims previously made the legendary Sims Burner, a stiff split-tail race board that Mark Fawcett helped design. It has very high stability and is designed for pure speed, but with the maneuverability of a shorter board. '00 was the last season that you could buy a Sims Burner in the US, but it was continued for a few years later in Japan, then the model was manufactured under the Hasco brand until '03. Burners require some care when riding, since it is possible to break the tail if you land on it hard. It came in lengths of 162, 167, 188, and 197: all lengths except the 162 had a split tail. Burners are becoming increasingly rare, since the tails continue to break on what few boards still remain. If you own a Burner, you'll probably break the tail sooner than later. The 178 length was custom made for the Japanese snowboard team, and is extremely rare."

was messing around with paint.net, seeing if i could make a decent poster for segmex and realised it looked like a dating sim so I ran with it
Eli Sims l(Feb. 1, 1776 - Sept. 14, 1862) was a White County farmer, educator, road commissioner, and county trustee. He established the first cotton gin in the county. He served also as the chairman of the White County Quartely Court. He was born in Larne, Ireland and settled in White County in 1810. This house was built in 1810 and is believed to be the first brick house in the county. He married Rachel Townsend in 1807, and they raised 12 children. Sims is buried in the old Zion Cemetery.
This house is located at the intersection of the Old Smithville Highway which runs parallel to US70 (TN26) and the Old Kentucky Rd. (TN136) west of Sparta
