Garden photo I took over the weekend—just playing around. I've been looking at 19th-century paintings, and everything I've shot looks weird now. ;)
The creative world of Orla Kiely was founded in 1995 to express visually, her love of pattern, colour, texture and rhythm, which as components all play and work together. Her instinctive graphic discipline to simplify and stylise everyday motifs and forms adds another dimension. With clean orderly repeat constructions and a boldness of scale, her work achieves strength with a very modern quality, while her nostalgia for all things mid-century, help make her patterns charming, uplifting and instantly recognisable.

2014 saw a number of anniversaries which will help us tell this story. It's been 60 years since the creation of the iconic Routemaster, 75 years since the launch of the RT-Type bus and 100 years since the world's first mass-produced motor bus, the B-Type 'Battle Bus' that carried soldiers to the frontline during the First World War.
Our buses are the arteries of the capital, moving large numbers of people around the city - across the centre and to the extremities. They have affected great social change and continue to offer a lifeline to a diverse range of Londoners. Buses also support the needs of our growing city and in turn help London to function as the engine room of the UK's economy.
London is naturally proud of its bus network, one of the largest and most accessible in the world. Despite its size, the bus network remains flexible and able to adapt to the challenges of operating in a constantly changing streetscape.
To meet the future needs of the city, while minimising the environmental impact, we are using innovation and new green technology. Our fleet is already one of the cleanest in the UK, but we're constantly striving to see how new technology can further reduce our impact on the environment.
The bus sculptures, which are 2.5m long, 1m high and 0.5m wide, are painted and adorned by well-known and aspiring artists to showcase the vital role that London’s buses play in the life and economy of the city and the UK as a whole.
Londoners and visitors to the city will get the chance to discover the bus sculptures, which will be organised in clusters, on foot by following public art trails in four areas of the capital – three in central London and one in outer London.
I modified provideofx's image in Topaz Simplify. Use "Simply Size" combined with "Mono Line Fine" under the "Edges" tab to give it that Water color edge look.

From Wikipedia - A getai (literally song stage) (Simplified Chinese: 歌台), is a usually boisterous live stage performance held during the Ghost Festival commonly held in Singapore, Malaysia and some parts of Indonesia (mainly in Riau, Riau Islands and North Sumatra), in contrast to the generally solemn mood of the festival. However the performance is also routinely played at other Chinese festivals. The stage setup is usually composed of temporary structures and situated in the suburbs of the city in any empty field or even in parking spaces or housing estate.
Peking opera or Beijing opera (simplified Chinese: 京剧; traditional Chinese: 京劇; pinyin: Jīngjù) is a form of traditional Chinese theatre which combines music, vocal performance, mime, dance, and acrobatics. It arose in the late 18th century and became fully developed and recognized by the mid-19th century.[1] The form was extremely popular in the Qing dynasty court and has come to be regarded as one of the cultural treasures of China.[2] Major performance troupes are based in Beijing and Tianjin in the north, and Shanghai in the south.[3] The art form is also preserved in Taiwan (Republic of China), where it is known as Guójù (traditional Chinese: 國劇; simplified Chinese: 国剧; literally: "National theatre"). It has also spread to other countries such as the United States and Japan.

Right now I've a lot on my mind, and some big decisions to make. But today I was off from work. It's been grey and either drizzly or rainy all day. Despite that the morning started well because the Olympus came out of the rice it's been sitting in for 4 days, and after an initial stickiness of buttons it fired up and I was able to re-programme the menu - it appears to be back in rude health. I hope it lasts and doesn't start to corrode internally from the salt water. And so I put on Penny's lead and we walked our longest route from the front door to the beach (6 miles instead of the usual 1). I took lots of photos again with the Olympus (joy) and couldn't resist posting just this one in celebration. But I'm also posting it because when Penny was playing on the beach there was nothing else to think about. She's always totally absorbed in just splashing about in the waves, chasing after the pebbles I throw; she has no fear of water and waits for the waves to ride. It's a mindfulness meditation of the highest order, just completely absorbing and enjoyed by us both. Thinking came later, only the moment mattered. That's happiness, simplified, and these little moments will do me nicely at times like the present.
