Backstory:
We tried a new Mexican restaurant, in a very small West Virginia town, this afternoon. Eric drove. My daughter braided my hair. I leaned to the center of the car, so she could reach my hair from the backseat. We took a long drive through the country and saw fourteen horses and more cows than I can recall in order to quantify. We returned home and watched a movie. Her talents as a pastry chef extend to beverages, as well. As we are enjoying our mimosa, I am comforted by the warmth of a gentle day filled with sweet hands and much love.

I was looking through the living room window when I saw the gorgeous colours of the sky reflected in the puddles created by melting snow. Dinner was ready but I has to take a few moments to run out and capture this on "film".

Abstract is so versatile and and I love most of it. Simplicity works best for me. Here I've used only folding papers.The layers are random and the diagonals finish it off. Enjoy!
My contribution is a bit late as I've problems with uploading the RAW files that are converted to jpeg's. That's why this is a photo in less quality.
Today started with this wonderful light, golden and purple-ish. It's never the same These quiet moments last short, but stay in mind all day long.

I felt like this shot might be a good panacea for the unchecked greed that sometimes grips people's hearts on "Black Friday". For my little Bella, there is pretty much nothing in the world that makes her happier than an old cruddy ball and a human who cares enough to take the time to throw it for her. If dogs were into smiling, her grin would be from ear to ear. The truth of the matter is that sometimes the face of the person throwing the ball has a big grin, too, from the reflection of the joy of the animal. Don't forget simple pleasures this holiday season! And, if you are looking for an expensive pleasures - this lens (a loaner from Fuji) is fantastic and can be yours for only $6000 USD! After checking out on what I spent all my money this month it turned out that it wasn't on photography ;o)
