Can I get up in the moming

Put the kettle on

Make us some coffee, say "hey" to the sun...

Is it enough to write a song and sing it to the birds?

They'd hear just the tune

Not understand my love for words

But you would hear me and know

I want only this, I want to live

I want to live a simple life.

Onboard the Celebrity Eclipse

Looking for something else in an old wardrobe I had to move the record player so I figured I could check if it was still in working order. Might need to clean it up a bit more though. Now listening to New Gold Dream (81-82-83-84).

A lot of make up and fancy clothes won't get my attention but simple beauty will... every time.

Squamish, BC Canada 🇨🇦

The Stawamus Chief, officially Stawamus Chief Mountain (often referred to as simply The Chief, or less commonly Squamish Chief), is a granitic dome located adjacent to the town of Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. It towers over 2,297 ft above the waters of nearby Howe Sound. It is one of the largest granite monoliths in the world.

The Squamish, indigenous people from this area, consider the Chief to be a place of spiritual significance…

The Chief is part of a medium-sized pluton of a granitic rock (granodiorite) that was initially formed in the early Cretaceous (approximately 100 million years ago) by the slow cooling and solidification of molten magma deep below the surface of the Earth.

There is a small group of rugged peaks just to the south-east of Squamish behind the famous Stawamus Chief, and Sky Pilot Mountain is the highest one. It’s one of those peaks along Sea-to-Sky Highway that draws significant attention from scramblers and climbers for the simple reason that it “stands out” from the surroundings.

The Squamish Estuary is located within a Wildlife Management Area (WMA), an area of land designated under the Provincial Wildlife Act for the purpose of maintaining and restoring wildlife species and their habitats. Certain recreational activities are permitted within the WMA, but only secondary to wildlife conservation.

In the heart of Skopje, the vibrant capital of North Macedonia, where ancient trade routes once crossed, stands the Church of the Ascension of Jesus (Voznesenie Hristovo). Skopje is a city of contrasts: you can walk from the Ottoman bazaar to Orthodox churches, from mosques to modern monuments. In the middle of this melting pot of cultures and styles lies a place of silence and devotion. The church was built in the 16th century and has been restored several times after earthquakes and fires. From the outside it appears simple, almost modest, hidden behind walls and trees. But inside unfolds a wealth of religious art. The church is especially known for its imposing wooden iconostasis from the 19th century, a masterpiece of fine woodcarving. It is also the resting place of the national hero Goce Delčev, seen as a symbol of the Macedonian struggle for independence. In the photo, the quiet cloister can be seen along the side of the church. The dark wooden beams and doors lead along the walls to the sacred spaces, while plants and flowers enliven the stone floor. To the right, a green garden opens up, where a hanging flower basket and tall trees create an intimate, sheltered atmosphere. In the distance rises the bell tower, with its wooden roof and cross, typical of Macedonian architecture. The composition of this image reveals something special: the serene silence of a religious place that has endured for centuries, a site where faith, history, and nature come together in harmony. While outside modern Skopje bustles with life, this church radiates a timeless peace.

In the heart of Skopje, North Macedonia’s lively capital, stands the Church of the Ascension of Jesus, a 16th-century treasure hidden behind walls and trees. Simple on the outside yet rich within, it is famed for its 19th-century wooden iconostasis and as the resting place of national hero Goce Delčev.

"I've been having these weird thoughts lately... like, is any of this for real? Or not?"
