Cherish Life Rally Brisbane Australia.

Subtle HDR composed of 5 exposures. Finished up with digital blk card

I have three plum trees . When they bloom it looks like snow and the smell of the flowers is intoxicating. The bees were everywhere along with other types of flies, butterflies , moths and insects. I had a few run into me as I was standing in their flight patterns. When you looked up all you could see were bee and insects zooming around the flowers.Springs first bounty for these jolly feasters. !

The bokeh in the background are more plum blooms twinkling in the light

Obviously a companion to Braille. I even just copied the editing exactly and then just made adjustments. It didn't turn out quite how I wanted. I wanted my face to be visible so that I could erase my mouth like I did to the eyes in Braille, but I didn't realize until editing it that my hand was in front of my face. noob. Also the back bend probably would have been deeper but after so many takes there was only so much my muscles could take I plan on doing one more based on sound so that I have a sort of "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" theme.

"Blue" jazz club

Portland, ME

I took a photo of this sign from the opposite side. The next day, when I was walking toward it from a different direction, I saw that I could capture a Portland banner in a photo of the "Blue" sign. It made a more interesting image and a better composition.

Sometimes it pays to look at things from a different point of view.

More Lux, I can't resist. I do like the lighting on this one, rather clever with the 3D style X and the subtle white to grey vignette.

Little tip, if you visit a wood youve never been to before at sunset, take a torch or leave some breadcrumbs. Took me about an hour to find the car once it got dark.

Lodge sign on Martha Lake Road outside Mercer, WI

This Bicentennial-themed sign lasted until my August, 1978 visit to Mingo Junction Ohio.

While the photo itself is quite ordinary, the combination of the road signs brings special meaning to it. Mother tells her son which way to choose for his future life. The way forward seems forbidden and dangerous, with no guarantees. The way to the left leads to loss and misses. Hope that son will choose the right way!
