Interview with Shweta Bhatt ‘What wrong has Sanjiv done Truth will prevail’

I recently acquired this proof that Ihave no taste whatsoever in decoration. It hangs proudly in my front room.
Recipes used (but not pictured): Baked Eggs with Feta, Tomato, and Marjoram (571), Steamed Beets (338)
As sometimes happens, I forgot to take a picture of the dishes I made for myself and Andy, and since there were no leftovers, I couldn't cheat and do them later. The eggs were fine; nothing beats eggs and cheese. I liked the beets, which I finished with plenty of butter, salt, and pepper once they were steamed. I paired both with Madison's tried-and-true recipe for buttermilk biscuits.
Since I couldn't get a good picture of dinner, I'll instead describe meeting Madison herself earlier last summer. My friend Shellie and I met at the Austin Book Festival in front of the Capitol to hear her speak on a panel of local farmers and food writers. Later, Shellie and I met her in the signing tent, where I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Madison and having her sign my well-worn book. She was a lovely, intelligent, sincere lady, and I'm so thankful to have met the woman who's been writing the recipes that have fed me for the past year and change. I hope to show her all the pictures I've taken once this project is over.
