Shrewsbury Signal Box The Worlds Largest 180 Lever Mechanical Signal Box still in use today and for a long time to come
Seen 10/9/21
The only signal box on the Tarka Line is the little LSWR box at Crediton. We have just pulled away a minute later after exchanging the token for the single line to Okehampton. We also had a dartmoor Railway pilotman onboard as the line beyond Coleford is actually not owned by Network Rail.

The old PRR signals at the CSX-UP junction in St Elmo IL have their replacements standing by in November 2012.
This signal box was located at the corner of Pultney and Wakefield street in Adelaide. It controlled trams running to Burnside, Linden Park, Erindale, Glen Osmond, Springfield, Kinswood and Mitcham of what was once an extensive tramway system around Adelaide and its suburbs. The box opened in 1912 and ceased operation in 1958.

The sun is bright, but it is doing little to warm the air on this brisk December day as a set of block signals guard the CN mainline at Burlington, IL.
August 2014 and a class 66 passes through Ram hill near Coalpit Heath. Pretty unremarkable only that my regular dog walks have observed the new signalling installation prior to electrification and as this loco passes the caution heading near to Westerleigh junction, it flickers briefly to green before settling on red. A voyager then appears having cleared Westerleigh junction which may have released the caution, so maybe not a glitch after all?
Sprogs 1,2 & 3 get a horn blast from the voyager.
Haley standing on the porch of Cowgirl Antiques in Miami, Arizona. I think she was trying to make some sense of all the signals she had been given during the shoot. I must say she was a great sport about it all. Photo was lit with one Nikon SB-800 in a small solfbox to camera right triggered by a SkyPort. Please do not use this photograph for any purpose with out my permission.
