Aquae Segetae ou Aquis Ségeste « les eaux de Segeta ».
Aquae Segetae est une ancienne ville thermale du Haut Empire romain, construite autour d'une source sacrée dédiée à la déesse Segeta*. Ce sanctuaire s'est développé sur un ancien lieu de culte gaulois préexistant. La ville s'étendait à l'époque sur une superficie estimée d'environ 25 hectares.
l'antique station d'Aquae Segetae est signalée par la Table de Peutinger comme Aquis Ségeste. Le site est placé le long d'un itinéraire routier antique important reliant Lyon au Sud-Ouest de la Gaule.
« les eaux de Segeta » fut l’une des cinquante-deux villes d’eau de l’Empire romain et était un lieu de pèlerinage important lors de son apogée au 2e siècle après J.-C.
Il reste les vestiges d’une grande cour cultuelle qui était bordée de galeries avec colonnades et un bassin, appelé « nymphée », qui recueillait les eaux d’une source sacrée.
Le site a été redécouvert au XIXe siècle.
* La déesse Segeta, était connue pour ses vertus liées à la fertilité.

English : Tapio speared around the south west corner of Lanzarote to make his film drop this morning under genoa and full main. The low freeboard and classic S&S lines still so striking. He reported that his HF Radio was not transmitting and that he was still developing an understanding for his Windpilot self steering system. The laceration to his hand is healing well and he looked in good shape heading off to the south. #GGR2018
French : Tapio a passé la pointe sud-ouest de Lanzarote pour déposer ses pellicules photos ce matin sous génois et grand voile. La ligne de flottaison si basse de ce bateau classique est toujours aussi impressionnante. Il a signalé que sa radio HF ne transmettait pas bien et qu'il était encore en train de tester et régler son système de régulation d'allure Windpilot. La blessure de sa main se cicatrise bien et il avait l'air en bonne forme en prenant la direction du sud.

"Unter ironischer Bezugnahme auf die Tradition der Weltausstellungen und der „Expos“, die seit mehr als 160 Jahren weltweit an wechselnden Schauplätzen ausgerichtet werden, steht vom 1. bis zum 24. Juni auf dem Gelände des ehemaligen Flughafens Tempelhof in Berlin ein Ausstellungsparcours mit 15 Pavillons zur Erkundung bereit.
Diese Pavillons verstehen sich nicht als Agenten der Markenbildung von Nationalstaaten, sondern als Orte höchst subjektiver künstlerischer und politischer Reflexion. Über die Grenzen kultureller Disziplinen hinweg suchen Architekten, Theatermacher, Performer, Bildende Künstler die Auseinandersetzung mit Ideen, Systemen und Phänomenen, über die noch die entlegensten Kulturen miteinander global verbunden sind. Gezeigt wird nicht die Welt, wie sie sein wird oder sein soll, sondern wie wir sie wahrnehmen, verstehen, interpretieren."

Le château du Haut-Ribeaupierre est le plus ancien château des Ribeaupierre puisque son existence est signalée dès 1084. Il aurait été construit sur un ancien site romain. Connu sous le nom de "Altenkastel" c'est Anselme de Ribeaupierre qui prend possession de ce château vers 1288. Vers 1368, Brunon de Ribeaupierre devient propriétaire du château. Vouant une haine féroce aux anglais, il enferme dans son donjon le chevalier John Harleston de 1384 à 1387 qui avait eu le malheur de parader dans la région avec un sauf conduit impérial. Il ne le libère que contre une forte rançon et à la suite de fortes pressions de l'empire. À la fin du XIIIe siècle il devint une résidence des Ribeaupierre. Un autre prisonnier de marque sera enfermé dans le donjon du Haut-Ribeaupierre en 1477. Il s'agit de Philippe de Croy, comte de Chinay, allié de Charles le Téméraire fait prisonnier par un Ribeaupierre à Nancy.
