An evening South Shore Line train, en route from Chicago to South Bend, makes its regular scheduled stop in Hammond, Indiana.

A freight train had to stop for a red signal. For a brief moment silence invaded the rail until something bright appeared. It was the passing Pendolino heading towards North, while path was clear to the train to continue its journey towards South.

The City just replaced the electrical and signal lines in this area and patched the road asphalt. They are still working on the other end of the street. That's the last time they invite Godzilla for the homecoming game!

Back in 1676, the Abenaki people had finally had enough of the English colonists living in this village and the continual encroachment of the Abenaki lands. The Abenaki completely destroyed the village. Unfortunately for the Abenaki, the English colonist were persistent buggers and colonists returned two years later.
Eventually, the Abenaki were decimated and the English colonists could drink tea without fear.
The above story is fictitious American history for the most part.

The Arsenal is a former military complex of buildings in the south-east of Vienna in the third district.
An area of the former site was used by the not-for-profit Rail Tec Arsenal (RTA) research centre to provide climactic validation for rail and public transport vehicles. It will be demolished in a few weeks.
