Precisely at 1:08 P.M. every day, the ghost of Henry L. Pittock stands at the corner of SW Washington Street. Nobody knows why and Henry isn't talking.

This is a close-up photo of the rear signal light on my car. In this orientation, it suggests the voluminous interior of an architectural dome.
All fired up.
It is 0842h and locomotive 6029 is all fired up and ready to depart for the short distance run to Maitland railway station.
6029 was a participant in the annual Hunter Valley Steam Fest and it's appearance was greatly appreciated by all and sundry in attendance at the Fest.

After a long afternoon strolling around Berwick Upon Tweed in lovely, spring sunshine, taking photos, I had twenty minutes to wait for the evening train homewards. Dusk was falling, and the sun reclining in the west (see previous set of pics), so of course I took some more photos (because that's what we do, isn't it?), walking up and down the platform.
If you are wondering why such a small town station has such a long platform, it sits on the busy east coast mainline that connects Edinburgh to London, so the long, intercity express services often stop there.
Railway tracks and signal lights in South Riverdale in Toronto, used by GO (regional commuter) trains and others. Better seen larger on black.
My first try at this was as a blend of 6 bracketed exposures for a "full" view of this scene, but I ended up preferring this more minimal and underexposed treatment.
