It was very cold and windy but the shining sun and some open water made this a pleasant sight for me. Could have sat there all day.

Two of the first signs of springs in the northern interior of British Columbia... some green in the grass and the return of grizzlies.
The grizzly bears den higher up in the hills but come down to lower elevations to eat weeds and grass in the spring. As the vegetation and dining choices change, they follow their stomach back up in the hills and later in the year they feast on buffalo and other berries.
