It rained most of yesterday, softer rain, not true monsoon storms. It was actually humid today, and some of the bushes have perked up, but mostly it still looks dry as a bone. The cactuses are suffering. This cactus skeleton is from a couple years ago, though.

 

This lens is SHARP. This is about as far down as I can stop it, due to some issue. Maybe f4? I'm truly impressed at the razor rendition and I like the busy bokeh on the brittlebush.

 

First shots with the Petri Orikkor Kuribayashi 50mm f2. Turns out it has a problem stopping down but is otherwise fantastic.
