The OMC140 and Megrez 90 mounted on a Geoptik side by side plate kindly loaned to me by Steve Asbury. When I get some clear skies, the plan is to take some guided images of smaller DSOs with the OMC and Canon 20D.

A MANHATTAN MUSIC FESTIVAL CELEBRATING VETERANS

New York, New York

The Memorial Day main attraction at NYC Fleet Week 2019, the “Side By Side” music festival welcomed the public, some 2.600 veterans, active military, and their families to Rockefeller Center and Radio City Music Hall. Audiences were treated to award-winning musical performances, talks by with distinguished veterans, military exhibits, and activations.

Taking full advantage of New York media coverage and social media exposure, Britten’s project management team took full responsibility for conceptual design, printing, fabrication, and installation of stage graphics, barricade fencing, and an attention-grabbing FOAM3D selfie-sign in the shape of a guitar headstock.

A successful and high-profile event on every front, the jam-packed music bash was also the first-of-its-kind honoring military service. Britten was proud to take part, a feeling echoed in the words of Juan Serrano, director of Northwell Health’s Military and Veterans Liaison Services, who said, “It’s an honor to serve those who serve. No matter where, no matter why—no matter what."
