Inside the church known as the Church of the Jesuits (that is what it said at the entrance of the church), but that is actually called the Church of the Circumcision of Our Lord. It is also known as the Church of the University (and the Master and doctoral graduation ceremonies are held at this church).
As the name suggests, it was founded by the Jesuits in 1593. This is not really the original building, but one built in the Baroque style after a nearby explosion at a gunpowder factory severely damaged the building. That was in 1634, and work was carried out for much of the 17th century.
In 1768 the Jesuits were expelled from Malta and had to leave the church behind, and the Knights Hospitaller, who had control over Malta at the time, took over.

Side (Σίδη) (meaning pomegranate) is located in the region of Pamphylia in Anatolia (modern-day Turkey) and was both a prosperous Aegean trading centre in Hellenistic and Roman times and a base for Cilician pirates in the 1st and 2nd centuries BCE.
One of the first things you notice on arrival at the site is that modern Side is a tourist town. However, it is also one of the best preserved classical sites in Turkey. The ancient city of Side is found on a small peninsula measuring about 1 km by 400 m.

Second skin sewn from verses for melancholy, she is the owner of silences that are kept as treasures so as not to break the sincere words.
There are dreamers whispering while they delight without waking up at dawn, sleeping on the hidden side of the Moon, with their bare feet to leave a mark on the way back.
There are closenesses beyond time, what was known was forgotten in some conquered life and the now, indefinite, blurs with a sigh carried by the wind.
There are candles that are exhausted and their warm light still has a memory in the pupils... if you close your eyes, a single tear, intimate, shy, embraces the flame. Life is conquered by moments.
Moon.
These 2 cuties were playing and chasing each other around having the time of their lives. I managed to get this cheeky shot of them as they stopped momentarily while we walked past with our 3 doggies. Yes we have acquired another one! 😉 I hope you are having a good day just like these 2 😁

A peacock stands on lush green grass, captured in side profile with its vibrant blue neck and head on full display. The intricate feather patterns shimmer with detail, and the crest atop its head adds a touch of elegance. Its gaze, turned slightly backward, suggests both awareness and aloof charm.
This particular moment unfolded near the edge of a quiet garden path, where the peacock had been strutting with theatrical indifference. I approached slowly, camera ready, knowing full well it wouldn’t pose—it would decide. And it did. With a glance over the shoulder that felt half regal, half judgmental, it gave you just enough time to capture the shot. The grass glowed, the feathers gleamed, and the attitude? Unmistakable.
