Around 8 years ago Zions instituted a shuttle system from April through November, to cut down on smog and traffic congestion in the canyon. They run every 7 minutes, my only beef with them is they don't run early enough in the morning.
The space shuttle Discovery. I think this is where the orbital maneuvering engines were attached. It's interesting to note that every tile on the shuttle has an individual designation.
I visited the Udvar-Hazy Center, part of the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum located near Dulles Airport.
All information on the aircraft is taken from Wikipedia and/or the Smithsonian website at airandspace.si.edu/
The Speer is one of four boats to have this unique shuttle installed. The shuttle can go out either side of the boat, this unfortunately limits the unloading ports of the speer to only two. The other three boats were her sister the Edwin G Gott(The Gott was later converted to have the more common boom), the Steward J Cort, and the Roger Blough.
unsere Auffahrt ist zu klein fuer einen 18 Wheeler/ High Rig also mussten die Umzugsfritzen einen kleineren Lastwagen mieten....
the drive way was way too small to accomodate a High Rig....
Skies were overcast tonight, and probably will be tomorrow, so I made my own shuttle picture!
My first actually decent-ish HDR, made of 5 shots, -3 to +2 EV. Processed with Nik Dfine, Nik HDR Efex Pro, Nik Color Efex Pro, Nik Sharpener and some finishing touches in Aperture.
We were supposed to go up to the top of the ESB for the perfect view but it was so crowded we couldn't. I was bummed until I realized we had a great view from a co-workers window! Here is the Shuttle on the 2nd pass down the Husdon River.
I SANG WITH THE BAND SHUTTLE LOUNGE THIS PAST SATURDAY NIGHT IN HOLLYWOOD, FL

IT WAS FUN AS HELL TO SAY THE LEAST! AND FUNNY!

the end of the shuttle landing site. I think this was used to lift the shuttle off of it's 747 ride if it landed elsewhere, but I Could be mistaken.
The Space Shuttle Atlantis (Orbiter Vehicle Designation: OV‑104) at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor's Complex in the Space Shuttle Atlantis building.
Atlantis was the fourth operational and the second-to-last Space Shuttle built. Its maiden flight was STS-51-J lifting off on 10/03/1985 and landing on 10/07/1985. It's, and the shuttle program's, last mission was STS-135 that lifted off on 07/08/2011 and landing at the Kennedy Space Center on 07/21/2011.
By the end of its final mission, Atlantis had orbited the Earth a total of 4,848 times, traveling nearly 126,000,000 mi (203,000,000 km) or more than 525 times the distance from the Earth to the Moon.
Atlantis is named after RV Atlantis, a two-masted sailing ship that operated as the primary research vessel for the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution from 1930 to 1966.
