Although the station has around 100 call-outs per annum, this is actually not a 'shout' as Weymouth lifeboat was on a training exercise. The vessel is Ernest and Mabel, a Severn Class all-weather vessel with a range of 250 nautical miles. In this photo, she must have been travelling close to her top speed of 25 knots.
