Should have gone to see Floetry. How did I not know about Santigold at the Neptune? I just can't keep up anymore.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

I am holding an online photo exhibition. For details, check the Photo exhibition venue. I was planning to actually exhibit it at a gallery in Tokyo in April, but it was postponed at the request of the government.

COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2 is attacking all over the world. Japan is no exception, and everyday is becoming more difficult. As a photographer, I also thought about life and postponed the exhibition according to the government's request. The Japanese government does not support artists. So I decided to hold an online photo exhibition. This is free to watch.
The photo exhibition should be in the dark in the room at night, preferably with the playlist. Look at the brightness of mobile terminals at 1/3.

Goes Netherlands should not be missed by anyone visiting Belgium it’s just a few extra train stops on your journey but well worth effort and your reward is seafood at its freshest, Zeeland province supplies most of the moules for Belgian bellies in their most favorite dish of mussels and fries. The older I get the more I want to be up for an early morning walkabout to see my location, if you are especially lucky you will see night turn to sunrise and soft scenes painted in golden horizontal light usually just shared only with early commuters or garbage guys. There is something so magical about exploring a place that you have never been and to try to capture the tranquil feel of having the place all to yourself if only for a fleeting hour or so.
I took this on Sept 19, 2008 with my D70s and Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Lens at 25mm, 1/200s, f7.1 ISO 200 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia ,Topaz, and DXO Nik

... and on to other things! My fun fact for today ... people at work are so kind to share these things with me (oh, I'm so thankful.... lol!) Owls eat the heads off of pheasants and leave the rest of the bird. This is disturbing on so many levels... first of all...owls are birds, pheasants are birds... so isn't this... kind of... cannibalism? (ewww) Owls eat brains.... kind of like zombies. Wouldn't there be a lot more tasty meat on the rest of the bird... than the head?!! (Brains must be really good) Leaving the rest of the bird is kind of wasteful, don't you think? So, that became a discussion today... and then someone tried to explain something else to me and I had to admit to them... "I'm sorry, I'm not listening.... I just can't get past the owls eating the pheasant's heads... and then I had to google it. (the rest of my work just had to wait) It's true. I guess it's not really a "fun fact", is it?... especially not for the pheasants.
But...on a lighter note... it was warm today... and the sun was out... and the sky was blue!! No grey! YEY!!
Should be eaten on Shrove Tuesday, but as I baked the buns yesterday I had to sample one today. It's filled with home-made almond paste and cream.

Should I stay or should I go now?
If I go, there will be trouble
And if I stay it will be double
So come on and let me know Should I stay or should I go?
The Turkey Vultures were wing drying on the log boom along with a dozen or so others. They seemed to have difficulty deciding whether a woman in a boat with a camera was trouble or not, they returned to their wing drying and blew me off :)
Thanks to Clash for the verse, one of those songs that stays in your head.
In truth, I should have waited for better light but I couldn't wait to try out the latest acquisition. This is THE first shot with the new kit, the d850.
Now for a real trial out, a road trip .... to stock up on essentials before the supermarket shelves are empty.
This one didn't make it home for Christmas. It should be soaking up the sun in the south US or even Central America.
There are few overwintering records for Alberta, and most of those are in the south part of the province.
I first noticed it at the same location two weeks ago. It seems to be healthy. It can fly at least the short distances I observed, and is apparently finding food in the grasses that poke up through the snow in the ditch.
It was quite unwary and often walked so close to me that I had to back off to keep the focus.
Strathcona County, Alberta.
Fascadale is a very black corner of Ardnamurchan, wild, very remote, and raw. It has a wonderful pebble beach with dark grey, very round stones and that blend of white and black sands which create fascinating patterns. The small bay faces directly out into the Atlantic Ocean and takes gulps of big waves which are squeezed through the gap to run up the shore. All that energy rolls and grinds the volcanic pebbles against each other to create that fine black sand. Here I'm just practising with moving water. I think I should have composed this so that it was just the foreground I captured

I should have called this shot 'breached' given half of the north sea came over the top of my boots and filled my wellies.
Sunrise
Should've covered up my eyes
Beauty wasted on me
Winds are shakin' my tree
With a woman too good, to believe
Take the first ride out that I see
"Sunrise" lyrics by Mark Lanegan
This Tree Should Be In Every Garden-The Pink Magnolia tree is a beautiful, flowering tree that grows to to great heights, towering up to 70 feet tall, with a lovely, wide-spreading canopy.
But there’s more to why this ornamental tree should be in every garden than it’s stunning beauty, with its delicate pink blossoms and deeply rich, green leaves.

così gratis come la tristezza
con la tua nuvola di dubbi e di bellezza ...

I am standing where there should be 15ft of water above me so I guess this photo should be reasonably unique?
Maybe the photo should be called 'Attack of the Giant Rabbit'...once you see it...!
Overlooking the location of the rapids scene from a few posts back...easy to spend all day in this part of the world...
This taken just after the 90D cartwheeled 50 metres down a steep slope then crashed 6ft down onto this road...and it lived! Built like a tank...just as well!
Or should that be Ilam? 😁 Anyway, I love this view! Looking down onto Ilam Hall in Staffordshire.
You wouldn't believe it, but 5 minutes prior to this was a complete blizzard. Couldn't see more than a few metres. Can't beat a good bit of weather drama.
My fourth outfit i should present on the L'HOMME MAGAZINE SL FASHION SHOW #20 (August 2022). Sadly you could not see it live, because the lagmonster killed me before.
But i don´t want you miss this awesome outfit sponsored by my favorite designers ArchiveFaction and POISON ROUGE.

By September 1999, the Friendly Southern Pacific had been part of Union Pacific for three years. Demonstrating some of the change that had taken place, a Portland to Los Angeles Z train departs Klamath Falls with a trio of SD40-2s for power.
The relatively pristine ex-CNW unit in the lead was a fairly rare bird on the Shasta Route. However, the unit second out was also notable - it was an ex-DRGW tunnel motor.
Maybe, I should start collecting dead butterflies instead....
The shop window captured my attention but, I could not visit. I did actually collect stamps, when I was a boy. It was a great hobby for a child, as I learned so much from these little squares about the world. This store is (was) owned by Elfriede and Manfred Walter, a couple from Niederösterreich, Austria. They opened the store in 1973 as Manfred was avid stamp collector. Manfred died few years ago, but his wife continued to operate the business. At the time I took the photo there was not sign of life. Sign of the Times, I guess.

I had put this climbing rose branch in a jar leaning against my windowsill, when all of a sudden I realized it looked rather like I should take a pic... I had intended using it in another shot but this looked rather charming!

Thanks so much for your visit!!
I totally didn't know it wasn't focused. We were actually holding hands, but you can't see it :/. I think i like it better this way though. Even though we look like aliens from the X-Files.

Lately, I have seen more people on bicycles than ever before in Houston. Sadly, I suspect that will end soon as more drivers hit the road (and cyclists).
Seen at Rice University, pushing (exceeding) my handheld limit.
This Green Heron just couldn’t decide: ‘Should I stay or should I go?’ He would stretch his neck up, begin to leave then compress that magical slinky neck down and relax for a few seconds before doing it again. Finally, he stretched his neck way out and took to the air. Green Herons are often amusing, chasing each other around, making strange sounds, fishing from low branches or from the air and working that magical neck. Lots of fun. I’ll be offline for a bit but wanted to wish everybody a wonderful New Year. See you in ’25! (Butorides virescens) (Sony a1ii, 400mm, f/2.8, 1/3200, ISO 1600)
