Hello everyone! I haven't post a photo for a while now...I was fully devoted on my thesis film 'Normal' for the past year. I wasn't even carrying around my camera anymore, which is really sad...But I won't regret cause this was for a good reason and I had a wonderful time preparing and shooting this short film. The film is now almost completed so I share our film's poster followed by a short synopsis!
"Having just arrived in a city where everybody walks backwards, a shy young man has to adapt
quickly in order to meet the girl that brought him there."

A self-deprecating joke
I murmur in delight of my loss
I just need a reason
Shelter with me
Angel of Death please pass us by
It’s not true that no one needs you anymore
It is the what that is driving my unhappiness
Embellished through enforced competition

Dali & Disney collaborated to make a short film animation. Yes, THAT Dali and THAT Disney.
From wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Destino
"Destino is a short animated cartoon released in 2003 by The Walt Disney Company. Destino is unique in that its production originally began in 1945, 58 years before its original release. The project was a collaboration between American animator Walt Disney and Spanish painter Salvador Dalí, and features music written by Mexican songwriter Armando Dominguez.
Destino was storyboarded by Disney studio artist John Hench and Dalí for eight months in late 1945 and 1946; however, financial concerns caused Disney to cease production. The Walt Disney Company, then Walt Disney Studios, was plagued by many financial woes in the World War II era. Hench compiled a short animation test of about 18 seconds in the hopes of rekindling Disney's interest in the project, but the production was no longer deemed financially viable and put on indefinite hiatus.
In 1999, Walt Disney's nephew Roy Edward Disney, while working on Fantasia 2000, unearthed the dormant project and decided to bring it back to life."

Meet Johno, not the sort of guy you introduce to your daughter or to your wife for that matter.
The 'Bloke Code' focuses on a group of friends, 5 guys aged 29 to 34, all with varying lives, some married or settled, and some not so settled. We meet the guys in a bar, Johno is recanting another of his escapades, the one where her husband comes home early.
When pressed for living
My skin is my barrier
My underlying artistic dilemma is rooted in the normal and abnormal consequences that impound affordance and manifests self-actualization.
An artistic response to the perceived narrative and the clues that impact on augmenting a self-sealing consciousness.
Dominion and powerless
Strength under control
As an ambitious artist
I re-positioned
I observed
I acted
It is about being creative and innovative with knowledge

Mix of Lomokino footage and hand made film animation. The music is something my brother made a few years ago. Shot using Ilford HP5+.
After many years my photography keeps getting a bit stagnant, the shots are the same the post processing the same etc, I decided to give video a go.
What was great about this was learning new things again to get my brain moving and my creative side peaking .It was like starting from scratch again, lighting, post processing plus audio and equipment.
I made this short 3 minute video which started as a small idea and was expanded by making a storyboard.
Cards on the table, I also made this video as I came across the My Rode reel 2020 competition which is also why it is 3 minutes long, one of the requirements of the competition.
This is my first ever video film so I don't expect it to win any prizes but I really enjoyed making it, like I said it got my creative juices flowing again after many photography slumps, I feel video has saved my hobby by adding an extra interest,by crossing back and forth between the two I can keep my photography alive whilst learning new things.

Also here is the link to my video on the competition page, if you want stop by and show my video some love, mucho gracius :-)
