Our village is very pretty. Last year there was a plan to modernise St Anne's shopping centre off the High Street. Businesses were brought up and ambitious plans were tabled to make a mini shopping outlet mall. The news about HS2 spooked the investors or so it is said. They pulled out and we are left with a number of empty shop premises. They are slowly crumbling.

Everything is 90% off.” The tags stuck to the floor tell a story. A long story of all the people who ever worked there and all the remaining employees, who were going to lose their jobs in 45 minutes.

I was at the Braw Wee Fair in Glasgow's Barras Market and run in to a big guy I met while I worked at the Commonwealth Games. His full time job is now taking reclaimed materials meant for landfill and turning them into awesome hand-worked pieces of useful furniture and ornaments.
I have to say that I love the weekly Spoonflower challenges so much. They help me try new things and push me in different directions, which expands my skills and repertoire in design. I don’t think it is bad that your designs are not all the exact same style, as how would you grow further if they were. That is the reason I love the challenges, they create growth, weather you are just a beginner or a seasoned designer. And they are not all perfect and it’s fun 😊 I really appreciate you following my journey in this process of growth. This is my entry to this week’s Spoonflower challenge – Otherworldly Botanicals.
