Al het goede,

Komt van boven.

Een heilige moet daar,

Zeker in geloven!

Sneeuw, regen zelfs poep

Hope you get a good fishery.

ChatGPT:

What is the effect of stickers in political propaganda?

Answer:

Stickers can have a significant impact in political propaganda campaigns. Here are some effects:

1. Visibility and Awareness: Stickers are an effective way to increase visibility of a political message or candidate. When placed in public spaces or distributed on personal belongings, stickers can grab attention and create awareness among a wide audience. This can be particularly useful in reaching individuals who may not engage with traditional political advertisements or media.

2. Name/Brand Recognition: By displaying a political candidate's name, logo, or slogan on stickers, it helps to build and reinforce their brand identity. It aids in creating recognition and familiarity among voters, potentially influencing their decision-making during elections.

3. Psychological Association: Stickers can foster a sense of group identity and belonging by appealing to the emotions and values of like-minded individuals. This association can create positive feelings towards the candidate or cause, encouraging supporters to display and share stickers, thereby promoting social proof and generating further support.

4. Grassroots Mobilization: Stickers can serve as a tool for grassroots organizing. When distributed to supporters, they can motivate individuals to actively engage with the campaign, encouraging them to spread the message by affixing stickers to their personal belongings, distributing them to others, or using them at rallies and community events.

5. Memorable Visuals: Stickers are typically designed to be eye-catching and visually appealing. They often feature bold colors, engaging imagery, and concise slogans. Such aesthetics can make the stickers memorable and facilitate recall, helping to reinforce the political message in the minds of voters.

6. Expressive Medium: Stickers can serve as a medium for individuals to express their political beliefs or affiliations. By displaying a political sticker, people can publicly align themselves with a particular candidate, party, or cause, fostering a sense of personal expression and identity, while potentially influencing and attracting others who share similar views.

Overall, stickers play a valuable role in political propaganda by maximizing visibility, fostering identity, encouraging engagement, and aiding in name recognition, thus contributing to an effective communication strategy for political campaigns.

Starling menace -

....................................................................................................................

Starlings are noisy birds, and outside the breeding season they often form large to very large swarms. Especially in orchards with fruit trees, they can cause a lot of damage. To avoid this, you may want to spoil the spree. Spreeuws sometimes sleep in large numbers in trees in residential areas leading to stench (noise) and noise. Spreeuwen cause a lot of trouble in many municipalities. As soon as the dusk enters, they fly with thousands at the same time to their permanent place to sleep. That gives a lot of noise nuisance caused by large amounts of feces and stench.

Paris - Place Sainte-Catherine

Daily Life Shit. Different sides of town, different environments. Jackson Park, Bronzeville, West Loop. I spend a whole lotta time moving from one place to another. Chicago’s segregated-ness is wild, every neighborhood feels like a different world. Reminds me of where I work and how my job services two very different communities at the opposite ends of the class spectrum that don’t even seem like they interact in our space. Odd. What does it mean for different to be the same, and for the same to be different? Do I write captions cause things need to be explained or will there come a time when I won’t need explanations for my work?

Well, this wasn't how the day was supposed to go, singularly one of the most stressful days of my life.

I have always concluded that any holiday is only good once the rental car has bee returned - 'unharmed' !!!!

Always there is the fear of damaging it and having lots of hassle.

I've never really worried about rental car suicide!

This 'was' a VW T-Roc, brand new, it had 16k Km on the clock and its clutch burned out climbing the Passo Falzarego in the Italian Dolomites.

It's every travelers nightmare.

We broke down here just after a hairpin bend, no gears, none of the phone numbers on the rental car wallet worked, all unobtainable (there was an English translation).

We had booked through Booking.com so we called them and they put us through to the recovery who eventually worked out where we were and sent a truck.

In the mean time we used another number from Booking.com to call the rental car company in Venice. Probably the most unhelpful, unapologetic people on the planet.

They told us we would have to make our own way back to Venice (2.5 hours) to pick up a replacement car, "use public transport" we were dumbstruck.

So, tow truck turns up and pronounces the car dead and takes it away. We had to clear out all our stuff and he signed off a check list to say it had a full tank of gas and was UN-dented and then we were left on the side of the road - REALLY!

We called the number of a local taxi company he had given us - unobtainable - again, really? - could it get worse?

So we hiked down the road to a hotel we had passed, luckily although it was low season it was open.

To cut the story short, the proprietor was a wonderful stand up guy and he helped, organised a taxi to Venice and it 'only' cost me 280 Euro's, but without him we would have been completely stuffed!

Venice was a nightmare, where they told us, because we hadn't taken out 'their' breakdown insurance we would have to pay the tow truck charges and possibly the repair bill for the car.

At this point I stood back and watched my beautiful, quiet, mild mannered wife vent her spleen at the girl on the desk!

We got a replacement car, sadly the same model, that apparently has clutch burnout problems in its early life. Needless to say my next rental will never be a VW.

So the moral or the story is:-

Take out your own extra rental car Insurance (at home), we did and I'm claiming.

Read the small print on all the rental car crap - so much for EU legislation!

And remember, rental car companies want their slice of the cake, if they don't like it, they will spit it back at you and make you pay for another slice - be insured!

LOCAUTO - Italy.

Sorry for the rant- Don't feel bad about NOT faving :-)

Interestingly the phone camera tagged the exact spot.

Big brother is always there :-(

Update 6th Dec 2019, the insurance paid up, so take heed, Always have your own 'excess' insurance to cover these 'eventualities'.
