Scathophaga stercoraria, commonly known as the yellow dung fly or the golden dung fly, is one of the most familiar and abundant flies in many parts of the Northern Hemisphere. As its common name suggests, it is often found on the feces of large mammals, such as horses, cattle, sheep, deer, and wild boar, where it goes to breed. The distribution of S. stercoraria is likely influenced by human agriculture, especially in northern Europe and North America. The Scathophaga are integral in the animal kingdom due to their role in the natural decomposition of dung in fields. They are also very important in the scientific world due to their short life cycles and susceptibility to experimental manipulations; thus, they have contributed significant knowledge about animal behavior

Move going along nicely until this morning! We got a call that along the chain from us one person works offshore and can move up to the 10th or from mid August on wards, took him until now to to inform anyone! So been on the phone and we have arranged to move out of our house on the 10th, oh my, thats next week and put our stuff into storage and not set a date to move into our new house until all the shit is sorted out in front of us. Thank goodness we have been offered the Fenmans Cottage in Horning until we move in and we didn't think we were going to get a holiday this year!
313207 runs alongside Mill Creek on the outskirts of Newhaven. The 313 was working the 2C39 1425 Seaford to Brighton. The Beach Road sewage treatment works have a prominent position in this shot which was not intentional but quite apt. Newhaven left me underwhelmed. The white cliffs in the distance are Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters.
