So much of the world relies on sea freight. Even during the pandemic these are the jobs that are probably the most secure. Someone has to do it or the world would grind to a halt. I would imagine the contact to other people in a job like this is minimal and the workers spend so much time at the sea that they aren't in that big of a risk.

Yesterday I signed a work contract. I finally have a job! I was supposed to get it in January, but then one delay after another led to it happening only now, 8 months later. Back in March when the pandemic was just picking up in Finland, me getting a job felt like it's a forever away. But I've overcome that forever. Hopefully everything goes according to plan and I will also get a better car! My current car leaks oil, every winter the AC leaks out the refrigerant, the wheel alignments are wonky and won't stay fixed, the wheel bearings are probably done, can't lock the doors anymore, the windshield is cracked and worn. It has done over 320 thousand kilometers.

This picture was taken in Finnsnes, Senja in Norway. This view looked so classic that I had to stop to get a picture of it.

Not too far from Chittagong Airport is a nice waterfront strip along the banks of the Karnaphuli River. There were boats and ships moored everywhere but this was one of the few days where the sun didn't shine and it was overcast and very hazy but there was enough colour to lift the mood a little.

Circular Quay is a harbour, former working port and now international passenger shipping terminal, public piazza and tourism precinct, heritage area, and transport node located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on the northern edge of the Sydney central business district on Sydney Cove, between Bennelong Point and The Rocks. It is part of the local government area of the City of Sydney.

The Circular Quay area is a popular neighbourhood for tourism and consists of walkways, pedestrian malls, parks and restaurants. It hosts a number of ferry wharves, bus stops, and a railway station. Often referred to as the "gateway to Sydney", the precinct has views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House and is a common location for viewing Sydney New Year's Eve fireworks.assenger shipping terminal, public piazza and tourism precinct, heritage area, and transport node located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on the northern edge of the Sydney central business district on Sydney Cove, between Bennelong Point and The Rocks. I was chasing the moon again trying to shoot it with something interesting. It appeared between two ships at one point.

On this morning, there was a very low tide. I walked to the end of the jetty on the right side and decided I would climb to the top to take a couple of pics from there. I got about 3/4 of the way up before I slipped and fell. I rolled down the rocks back to the sand. I think every inch of my body hit a rock. I hurt pretty badly. I slowly got up and hobbled my way back to my car. Over the next couple of days, my body tuned black and blue and I was very sore. Four days later I finally went to urgent care where I found out I had cracked a rib. Well, I got a few pictures and my camera never left my hand. My body will heal but a broken camera would have hurt worse. Lesson learned!

You must forgive me for posting the occasional image of the Golden Gate Bridge. I like this view of the bridge at sunset because it shows how busy the San Francisco Bay is: one tanker is entering the Bay while another is leaving, and a small fishing vessel makes its way between the two. And then, of course, there is the bridge against a colorful sky, but no fog!
