The fields around us are slowly changing colors from the lush greens to a golden brown as the wheat ripens. In the meantime the summer nights are still light and the rising fog from surrounding wetlands gives a strong bluish tint to night colors.

My black gear shifter gets really hot in the summer, even with a sunshade up so I finally made it a slip cover. Essentially it is a stub-footed sock. For more, see my blog.
